Exodus 20:3
Thou shalt have no other gods before me.


The first commandment.
Reason being, apart from this, man shall surely die. Genesis 2:17.

Satan led us to go directly contrary to God's Word -- by telling us we don't really need to pay attention to what God said, but that WE can be like God. Genesis 3:5.

And this is what people do.
They set their own standards, make their own judgments, seek their own self-interests, and try to create their own good life.

But the folly is that the world is saturated in darkness, people are absolutely captive to the evil one, and there is no good life to be found. Genesis 3:16-19.
It's been this way from the beginning.
Darkness covering the earth, and only God providing the Light. Genesis 1:2-3.

Jesus has come and He has fully proven Himself to be Christ -- by staggering fulfillment of prophecy and by resurrecting from the dead.
He is the Light.

Isaiah 60:2-3
For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.
And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.


"ME" will absolutely not work.
Come to your senses and come to the Truth.
One thing overcomes darkness.

John 15:5
for without me (Christ) ye can do nothing
