When I was much younger, among the many vinyl albums I bought was one called Kim Fowley's Hollywood Confidential." It was a compilation of songs from L.A.-area bands and artists with whom Fowley had been associated as producer, promoter, manager, songwriter, or in some other capacity of the music biz. He's most known for essentially putting together The Runaways and producing their albums, and had a daily gig as a deejay until last week that I listened to often in Little Steven's Underground Garage on satellite radio. While he didn't have golden pipes or much of what would be considered a radio-friendly delivery, he had some interesting stories about the music industry and played some good, obscure tunage.
Kim Fowley died yesterday at 75. Keep rockin', Kim.

Always thought BSmack's voice was like Fowley. RIP.
Hey Smackie, maybe there's an opening on Miami Steve's weekend schedule?
