What did Netanyahu say that justified the Dem's meltdown yesterday?
Whatever the content of his speech, it was the wrong time and the wrong place. It's pretty unseemly of Congress to give a foreign leader a pulpit for what was essentially a campaign speech meant for consumption by his own electorate. But it did serve the Republicans' political agenda, so there's that.

However, in this case, Israel is under the gun. I'm shocked they've restrained themselves as long as they have. We all know Iran is developing a nuclear weapon. We all know Iran has threatened to remove Israel from the planet. Israel will soon have to attack the Arak facility and other sites.
And you know this...how?

I guess we should just nuke them now and get it over with.

Saudi Arabia: Columnist Stands with Netanyahu, Slams Obama

A look at Saudi Arabia's news media shows that the Persian Gulf monarchy stands squarely behind Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's efforts Tuesday in Congress.

In an article in Monday's edition of the Saudi daily Al-Jazirah (no relation to the Qatar-based television network), columnist Dr. Ahmad Al-Faraj comes out strongly against U.S. President Barack Obama. "I believe that Netanyahu's conduct will serve our interests, the people of the Gulf," he writes, "much more than the foolish behavior of one of the worst American presidents."

The article was translated and disseminated to Western media by MEMRI, the Washington-based Middle East Media Research Institute.

Al-Faraj writes that Obama is working to sign a deal with Iran at the expense of America's longtime allies in the Gulf, and that Netanyahu's campaign against the deal is therefore justified and serves the interests of the Gulf states.
Nice find. I certainly respect and trust any opinion coming out of Saudi Arabia.

You do realize that the Saudis (Sunni) hate Iran (Shia) about as much as they hate Israel. Don't you?

How about this:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/wor ... -congress/
"The person who has caused the greatest strategic damage to Israel on the Iranian issue is the prime minister," argues Meir Dagan, former head of Mossad, Israel's top intelligence agency. Dagan has become one of Netanyahu's more outspoken critics from within Israel's security establishment. The ex-spy chief is no dove, but in comments Friday, he insisted that Netanyahu was alienating his country's most important ally at exactly the wrong time.

Dagan's argument was echoed over the weekend by a group of almost 200 retired Israeli generals and security officials, known as the Commanders for Israel's Security.

"The American people see the rift between Israel and the U.S. administration. The Israeli public sees it, and, more importantly, the mullahs in Iran see it," said Amiram Levin, a former deputy chief of Mossad, at a news conference. "Iran wants Netanyahu’s speech. They understand that it will weaken Israel’s bipartisan bond with the United States."
Or this...

http://www.vnews.com/news/nation/world/ ... ahu-speech
Rather than slowing down Iran’s nuclear project, the former security officials said, Netanyahu’s speech on Tuesday will bring the Islamic republic closer to developing a nuclear bomb.

“When the Israeli prime minister argues that his speech will stop Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons, he is not only misleading Israel — he is strengthening Iran,” Amnon Reshef, former head of the army’s armored corps, said at a news conference on Sunday.

Reshef is a founder of Commanders for Israel’s Security, an organization of 200 retired and reserve senior officers from the Israel Defense Forces, the Mossad secret service, the Shin Bet domestic security agency and the national police force.

Yeah. The consequences of a regime like Iran's going nuclear and the ramifications it would present should only be presented to the masses once proper etiquette is in place.

Incorrect.

The average score for an amateur golfer is 100.

I can be so drunk I forget which club is which, and still crack 100.

What went wrong in your brain that you equated "par" with "average"?

On second thought, Netanyahu also guaranteed that if the US won't strike a better deal, Israel will strike. So I guess Barry has that going for him.
So, what's your solution?

Send 100,000 or so troops to the Middle East to fight a pre-emptive war without raising any taxes to pay for it?

Amazing? More like REFRESHING - to hear a LEADER bluntly and without politically correct bullshit nuance tell it like it is. Taking the lead from hysterical shebitch Pelosi, the WH groids are telling us to go with their "deal" with iran and THEN we can evaluate it after it is signed. Transparent as a block wall.

Iranian born Valerie Jarret is probably "really mad" about what Netanyahu said about her country.

Should push ever come to shove it wouldn't have to be anything so drastic.

We can simply bomb their electrical grid and, while, we're at it, destroy their domestic refining capacity and their export terminals. Be kinda tough to run a nuclear weapons program on back up generators. We could completely trash their economy in two weeks. It would take them decades to recover.

IMO, this faux controversy is an merely an elaborate bit of theater. It's good cop-bad cop on an international scale. Even the Saudis are on board. Just stop and think about who is getting fucked hardest by them flooding the market with oil: Iran and Russia.
