Jimmy G to Seattle...
Re: Jimmy G to Seattle...
Few players as good at the up-the-gut blocking as Unger (QQMF).

Jimmy Graham, separated at birth from Sam Bowie.

I think there is some question whether his shoulder will be 100% next season. I believe Payton made the trade in case it isn't, eliminating having to cut him the following year to dump his 10 mil a year salary and getting nothing.

Re: Jimmy G to Seattle...
I can't say that I care for this trade. We already have a couple of very good TE's, and our O-line has been suspect at times. Unger was rather injury prone last season, but I don't think getting rid of him w/o getting more help for the line was a good idea.

Then why weren't they on the active roster last year?

Actually, before the trade I thought Luke Willson was due for an above average season this year.

Luke Wilson definitely has the skills for the position. Thought there was a second, but I guess I missed Zach Miller being cut for failing his physical.

Pretty big fucking difference between above average and elite.Joe in PB wrote:Actually, before the trade I thought Luke Willson was due for an above average season this year.

The more I think about it, the dumber this trade sounds. The Shithawks are primarily a running team. So they traded an all-pro center for a guy that in his career at TE, has blocked approximately... no one, ever?

They should be fresh then.Papa Willie wrote:The Falcons are picking up a lot of fuckers that average about 3 games a season.

A running team that didn't have the confidence to pound it inside from two when all the chips were on the table.Dinsdale wrote: The Shithawks are primarily a running team.

Brain fart plain & simple. If the Seahawks would have gone to 4 WRs & spread out the NE defense. No way they would have stopped Lynch from scoring. That loss is on Pete Carroll.

Re: Jimmy G to Seattle...
No question about that. I understand throwing in that situation but that throw into that much traffic was begging for disaster. A back shoulder fade to someone like Graham of of play action would be an extremely high percentage play. Almost unstoppable.Joe in PB wrote:That loss is on Pete Carroll.
