No slight taken Marty. I have sadly found over the last few years that the old style of story telling seems to have gone out of style. It's partly why posters like Luther, ML and others have dropped by the wayside.

I have sadly found over the last few years that the old style of story telling seems to have gone out of style.

It was never really in style except within a smaller subset of posters, and only a couple/few of them were any good at it.

That's very true and it was what made aspects of the earlier boards appealing, to me anyway. The ones that were good at it made a few others better. I agree it wasn't ever "in style" Goober, but it was different than the usual cut and paste insults and one-liners.

Even at this place, some people still made stories work early on. Dinsdale, R-Jack, Luther, etc. were all great story tellers. Still are, you just don't see them do it anymore.

So it goes.
