Yep. I remember once driving from Vegas to Reno about 20 years ago. The parts that weren't completely void of any animal or plant life seemed to be mostly one street towns that reminded me of some sort of Nevada version of "Deliverance." A typical sight was an old car painted up to look like a police cruiser, with a dummy in the driver's seat, planted next to the highway at the edge of town to slow down the incoming traffic.

I didn't even need to look them up since the last report to see what you've seen with "your eyes" is about as accurate as your perception of... everything.

I actually looked up the stats since then, since it's of interest to me.

Turns out, when you look at population vs. agricultural output, Florida is actually quite pathetic. The state I live in, although most of it is non-arable (but good for sagebrush), absolutely dwarfs Florida in that statistic... by an order of magnitude... as do a whole buncha other states (like most of them).

So, in short -- you're an even bigger idiot/blowhard than I thought (props on pulling that difficult feat off).

But really, that "ever been here?" line was a crown jewel. I've never been to Saudi Arabia... I understand they produce some petroleum there. Never been to Abu Dhabi... pretty sure they don't make much wine. Never been to the North Pole... I'll go out on a limb and guess their wheat crops suck.

So here I am, with the tricky situation of trying to explain to an idiot why they're an idiot.
