He probably felt like it was just another day at the office...and he would have gotten away with it too if it wasn't for that meddling kid.

Unfortunately he won't be tied face first to a tree and used for target practice. I'll settle for him spending the rest of his (hopefully brief) life in a maximum security penitentiary.

Why the sudden aversion to the death penalty?

I have none whatsoever. If it were up to me, he would already be dead. Demonstrating premeditation will be a challenge. Murder 2 shouldn't be a tough sell along with the 18-242 if necessary. In any event, this scumbag is a stone cold sociopath with absolutely no regard for human life and, at a bare minimum, should die in a cage.

Dude's decision making process went horribly wrong.

As mentioned, straight up sociopath.

And I hope it sends a message to any cop to maybe think twice about shooting unarmed people in the back.

And anyone who compares this to Michael Brown is an idiot.

Premeditation can take place very quickly. There is no actual time frame. If the killing was cold and calculated and not done in the heat of passion then it's 1st degree. At least in CA. (People v. Harris, 185 P. 3d 727 (2008))
The 18-242 is easy what with the planting of evidience and all.

As for the DP, I'm not a fan and this case does not change my mind.

True, but if the run of the mill honkey wonders why blacks don't trust a police report that says "self defense"...there you go.

This case and mike brown are absolutely apples and apples. One might be a Fuji and one might be a Gala, but they are both apples.

I don't think there is a need for it in this case. Any prison time will likely be a death sentence.

Disagree.

This guy was walking away after a routine traffic stop, and took a few to the back. Brown attacked a police officer.

As far as you not being cool with the DP -- with your diminutiveness, coupled with your well-documented love for the black ones, I could see where this might present a physical challenge. An opinion that is surely born via extensive research.

Both "routine" stops for minor violations.
Both cops say, now dead, black guy went for one of officer's weapons.
Both cops white.
Both cases have audio of the shots.
Both kill shots from a distance measured in yards.
There are more similarities than differences.
That's apples and apples.

Yeah, because cops who have been convicted are always placed into general population.

Sincerely,
No they aren't

So go ahead & tell us what happened prior to the shooting.

Well from the cops telling, guy was reaching for his taser. I'm guessing the taser actually may have been the victims personal property since the pig was nice enough to give it back to him after he was down. Classy guy.

Horseshit.

One was a traffic stop for a bad taillight. The other matched a description of a guy who had just committed a felony (because he had), who assaulted a cop... unless you hate forensics and eyewitness testimony that wasn't all over the map.

Whoa. Haven't heard that. That changes things a little, eh? You gotta link?

The chief stated Wilson did not know of MB's activities prior to their contact with eachother. I think he said that on the 15th.

How do you know MB initiated his own demise? The cops story? Any other fairy tales you believe?

Yes, the cop's story which was supported by the forensic evidence.

This was my though here, when the guy started running away, most reasonable police officers are not going to deadly force. When he drew and lined up on the dude fleeing, he had every expectation that if he fired on him he was going to drop him and most likely kill him taking 3 or more .40 rounds. Seems like premeditation to me, even happening in seconds.

What would his defense for manslaughter 2 be anyway ??
