Should whoremongering SS agents get shitcanned?
They are talking about this on fox news this morning.
Should they be canned or is this just personal stuff between "consenting adults". That excuse was good enough for a POTUS that was a serial underling perdator, these guys are just blowing off a little steam on roadies where, I think, it is legal anyway.
They have put the secret service under a microscope lately. Some of it deserved. The trouble is, you want the best of the best working for the SS. If the press starts a witch hunt on them, many prospective agents will say fukk it. While I am all for the keystone cops watching the current Pres, someday we may get one worth a shit and it would be nice if he had competent people around him.

God help us if anything happened to Barry O. The Secret Service should be one paramount and our White House should be like Fort Knox.

Prostitution is a form of human trafficking.
Using prostitutes = endorsing trafficking.
Good job, fellas. Hope you enjoyed your cushy job while it lasted.

Prostitution is a pretty big business. In some cases it is human trafficking. In others it is just a business. If it could be shown that they went after young girls, then hang them out to dry. Otherwise, it is nobody's bidness.Carson wrote:Prostitution is a form of human trafficking.

A. It's illegal.
B. It exposes them to potential compromise.
C. It takes them off mission.
D. Knowing all the above and still doing it makes them dumbfucks.

Re: Should whoremongering SS agents get shitcanned?
The USSS has been having a lot of issues long before the current administration. A major problem is the administration of the agency itself. Moral is horrible among agents, and has been for many years.
One part of it has been being short staffed at times. During the election season many of those people you see protecting candidates aren't USSS agents. They're federal LEO's who have been loaned to the USSS to help cover the field (I have the feeling that this will especially be the case next year with such a big field - at least on the GOP side). The agency is simply stretched too thin during the election season.
As to the prostitution angle, mvsidiot is correct (broken clock & all). Most if not all LE agencies have policies that their officers cannot engage in activities that are considered illegal in their jurisdiction. So agents couldn't even visit a brothel in Nevada w/o the risk of termination.
Additionally, sleeping around opens them up to various compromising positions, as well as potentially providing access to information related to OPSEC. Such behavior contains too many risks to be acceptable.
The alcohol abuse is another issue that needs to be addressed. While the agency recently amended policy to prohibit agents from driving government vehicles w/in 10 hours of drinking, such a policy doesn't address agents whose tasks do not involve driving (which is a majority of the positions in the presidential detail). And one would think that the events of 1963 would make them more careful about their drinking. The agents in Kennedy's detail were mostly hungover from drinking the night before (those agents say that it didn't affect their performance, but at the very least it at least puts it into question). A more strict policy needs to be issued for at least the agents in the protective detail.
And I would concur that it was a mistake to take the USSS out of the Treasury department. They seemed to be doing a lot better when they were over there.
Carson;
Would you find being required to stand in one place w/o losing focus for many hours to be a cushy job? How about having to travel as much as POTUS does, at times at a moment's notice (especially if one has a family)? How about having to constantly be around someone like Hillary or Jimmy Carter to protect them? How about being responsible for a person's safety who wants to engage in risky behavior or demand that you back off more than what you know is safe? Read up on the job a lot more if you want to avoid spewing more ignorant takes like the one you just did.

Not the responsibility of the USSS, but LE in the capitol needs to get a little more trigger-happy to put a stop to buffoons like this:

Jetsetting around the world? Sounds like fun to me.How about having to travel as much as POTUS does, at times at a moment's notice (especially if one has a family)?
Yeah, hanging out with liberal douchebags like yourself would kinda suck. How about having to constantly be around someone like Hillary or Jimmy Carter to protect them?
If you think Obama does that, you are more of a stupid fool than I thought. How about being responsible for a person's safety who wants to engage in risky behavior or demand that you back off more than what you know is safe?

Re: Should whoremongering SS agents get shitcanned?
That really shows how ignorant you are. I've read several accounts of how Obama has insisted that magnetometers be pulled at campaign stops to allow more people into the events more quickly. And while where I read of these instances happening was in books on the USSS, you can easily find similar reports of this on the net.Carson wrote:If you think Obama does that, you are more of a stupid fool than I thought.Diego in Seattle wrote:How about being responsible for a person's safety who wants to engage in risky behavior or demand that you back off more than what you know is safe?
But if you want to go on proving how ignorant you are, be my guest...

Gonna have to ask for a link on that.
Even if it's true, the SS will not change SOP just because the POTUS wants it.

It's in a book, so it must be true.

You ask for a link, and I give you a link.
Then you say it's unbelievable because it's in a book. I guess the National Enquirer is a more credible source for you.
