Amazing find

A week ago, Tallahassee got about 4 inches of rain, over three days, and it formed the little flooding eddies of detritus when a yard floods a little. 2 days later in those dried up eddies, some yellow mushrooms started popping up. I dismissed them as just toadstools, but the kept getting bigger, and I picked one.

After comparing the images on-line to the ones I had just picked.....freaking chanterelles!
I had no idea they grew here. And yes, I did sautee and eat them.
