The Keystone Pipeline was not going to affect your gas price whether built or not.
Re: Alberta Election and the Keystone Pipeline
LOL. At least they're not talking about moving south.

Must be the evil oil barons have been benevolent the past year or so. Isn't there some very rich guy who owns a lot of the railroad oil tank cars who stands to lose a lot if the pipeline was built? Good thing we have all the smartest economists here at T1B.

Warren Buffett bought Burlington Northern Santa Fe back in 2009 and has made a bundle thus far. His tracks are sitting right on top of the Bakken formation. I'm sure it's just an odd coincidence that a few property owners in Nebraska are holding up the pipeline project.Wolfman wrote:Isn't there some very rich guy who owns a lot of the railroad oil tank cars who stands to lose a lot if the pipeline was built?

Re: Alberta Election and the Keystone Pipeline
Probably. Between all the crooked people up there in oil country like the train dude, the farmers who are porking the Feds on farm subsidies, I am really surprise there has not been some kind of civil war up there. Buddy of mine is up there buying oil leases for cash for fractions of what they are worth and is not even close to being done. The farmers and wildcatters are so busy trying to fuck each other in deals, that my buddy is getting these leases for pennies. He said he will make a fortune if they ever come back, but if it does not, he will be out less than 100K all in. Chump change speculation for him.Wolfman wrote:Must be the evil oil barons have been benevolent the past year or so. Guy filmed one of those two mile long oil car trains going past Safeco Field the other night..which is you know where the tracks are, it is about 50 feet to the stadium. Headed up to Anacortes to the refineries.

Albertons are strange. They've no real conviction, it's whoever butters the bread. One minute it's Ayn Rand, then it's back to Social Cedit history. With the collapase of oil. they've become a bit disjointed
