There won't be fireworks this 4th of July

My fence was burned bad by an adult jevenile last year. Using illegal and commericial level fireworks. You might remember it. I'm on the home owners board of directors and so this year I pushed for a memo to be mailed to all homes in our neighborhood that illegal fireworks are forbidden. The proposition passed. The mailing went out this week. Those kind of sparklers or smoke snakes children put on the ground are allowed. But nothing that explodes like firecrackers bottle rockets roman candles and other rockets. It is outlined in the memo so there can be no excuse. Plus I am going to be outside all night until 10:00 to survey things on my street unlike last year. The 4th of July is a great holiday and it should be celebrated the right way. Nobody should suffer because one person is a dumb bad apple.

How does your neighborhood deal with fireworks? I've always known they are very dangerous and especially for children. But last year the message was sent home for me in an ugly way. So I took proactive steps. I hope things are good in your area and I just wanted to let you think about how we are dealing with it in our area. Food for thought. Have a good holiday.

Florida is an odd one. you can buy enough to blow up the town, but it is not legal to set them off--UNLESS---you have a permit to scare off crows or whatever. Lots of big tents set up on some out parecels selling the stuff. Even Publix sells small things. It's not really much of a problem in my area.
Best fireworks I ever saw was at Cornell University at Schoellkopf Field in 1976, bicentennial special. AWESOME !

Troll troll troll. What in the world is wrong with you? Do you even read this message board? Day after day people are posting crazy messages and saying things that could never be true. They talk to everyone with abuse like they would never do in real life. Constant abuse. I come on and talk about my real life and talk in a normal way and you cry troll? You lost your bearings somewhere. No grasp on reality I guess. Not to really make light of it but aren't you the person people say takes pills?
