Ohio State took out Va Techs QB, the Hokies did not take out Ohio States, therefore Va Tech lost. Its a war of attrition, if they injure your QB, your defense has to step up and do the same thing back to them or they have no heart and your team will lose the game.

Excellent take, as always. I mean, OSU has never had to deal with playing their back up QB's in pressure situations. I'm sure the kid behind Cardale Jones has no experience and would piss down his leg at the thought of playing in Lane Stadium.

Since schmick is bestowing the "rules" of football upon us, what is a team to do when one of their players is injured without contact? Take Hill for BYU. All accounts say he hurt his foot on a play where he scored and wasn't touched. Do you still retaliate? Do you not since they didn't technically take him out?

Lefty back up even further...what if a kid is running scout team and is the "other" teams qb and gets taken out? Then that means the scout team has to take out a star player to even it out...
