Man, did you hear that thing roar?
Neither did I. :(
How the fukk do you do a 9 minute video on that thing without at least a few seconds of it running. Bet it sounds sweet.
Well, rack those dudes for a very nice build. Now post a video with it running.

I'm sure I could build a much better sounding engine.

Re: 1955 Chevy with V-12
Reminds me of the time I sold my 1979 Pontiac to my older son for $1. It was woefully underpowered by a lame V-6 engine. He went over to the local junkyard and bought a big block Chevy V-8 engine. I rented an engine block hoist and helped him swap engines. He put on dual header exhausts and Hollywood mufflers (if you can call them mufflers). I could hear him coming a block away.
Somehow he never got ticketed for them. I sold the car for him when he went into the AirForce. The guy who bought it eventually put on real mufflers.

Without a doubt, V-8s have the best sound. Inline 6s sound nice. V-6s sound like ass as do V-10s. V-12s are Ok, I guess. Pancake motors (Porshe, Subaru) sound pretty gnarly.

That would be the Ferrari Flat 12.

Pretty much anything Italian sounds cool. The Italians, in fact are the only ones I know of that can make a V-6 sound cool. Can't say that I have ever heard a flat 12 so I can't really comment. I suspect it sounds similar to a flat 6.
Another really cool sound, Vee twin ducatis. Fukk Harley and their potato-potato unbalanced POS.

Re: 1955 Chevy with V-12
Just went to YT to listen to a few.
Listened to an old flat 12 ferrari race car. It definitely sounds pretty nasty. Then I listened to a 917. I seriously doubt there is anything as nasty sounding as a downshifting 917. Absolutely horrifying, in a good way.
But, I still think a V-8 sounds nicer.

Speaking of sounds, a guy in a Lamborghini passed me today out on College Parkway. Very nice.

Last Saturday returning from the Depot of Home with a couple sheets of 1/2" plywood on the top of an '04 Toyota Sienna Swagger Wagon I pulled next to a nice looking Maserati at a red light. I looked over at the dude and started revving my engine. He looked over and flashed a smarmy grin. I got the jump on him off the line as the light turned green, but alas, he had me by at least one car length as we cleared the intersection.
