Forward controls are what you find on cruisers, if I am not mistaken. And bags may make a bike tourer friendly, but don't necessarily make it a tourer. IMO it is about riding position. Tourers tend to have higher saddle with foot controls located further back. It might disqualify me, but a fan of British bikes, Triumph, BSA. They're antiquated, but it's what I like. I'm trying to figure out a single redeeming feature from Harley. Other than a cult fanbase and an ability to shake themselves to death.

If I had 88 money, I'd have a road king Classic in my new 10 bay garage simply because I like the look. I would also have some sort of Ducati. Prolly a monster. I would have a few Bimmers, a full on tourer and an adventure tourer. Prolly have some sort of Japanese death cycle as well.
As for the stuff from old blights, their modern stuff is great. Their "legacy" bikes. (Isn't that what you are supposed to call old shit these days?) you can have it. While they are cool in their own way, they were utter shit. Almost AMF Harley shit.

OK, I can see calling it a tourer/cruiser, or cruiser/tourer or whatever the fuck. After looking at the sites pics and that big ole' straight six leaned way forward, it is apparent that that is one big long bike, which gives the illusion of a very low saddle, like a cruiser would have, even though it is higher as you would have on a tourer, especially a sport tourer. If I get another bike, I would like to go with something that sits higher like a V-strom or maybe even a KLR 650 with bags. My FJ is a very comfy bike to ride for long stretches except for one thing. The after market corbin saddle sits a bit lower than stock, so I have a good deal of knee bend. My knees think this knee bend is the suck after about a 100 miles or so. That bike would likely be similar which takes it off my list.
