System of a Down - Mezmerize

Post by At Large »

450,000 copies sold in its first week. It's weird and it rocks. It's always fun to listen to a politically themed band that actually writes good songs about politics. Get the hint fellow Nebraskan Conor Obert (Bright Eyes).

Lots of stabs at the media, Hollywood and of course the president. If easily offended by music that asks questions, then stay away. Personally, I don't care what they say as long as the music is intriguing and thought-provoking. Of course, it doesn't hurt that the weird melodies and rock structures all happen to fit together nicely.

It's a tad short at 38 minutes long, but I guess a second part of these recording sessions comes out this fall.

Downloaded most of the album after hearing some of it in my brother's truck.

It's very interesting but cool. The songs have many layers. I think I like it. :)

That first single is awful. I'm not a big fan but Chop Suey rocks.

I got it off Napster this week. Not sure what to think of it yet after two or three listens. I love Toxicity but think that everything else they have done is total garbage.

I'd still like to punch the lead singer in the throat. His politics irk me like no other.

the band elicited that response in the inferior intellect of the government hack so it is the band that has bode.

With the semen stains, it isn't worth very much. Then again, most copies of Rove's rookie have neocon semen crust on them.
