Goodluck boys!

Post by Moby Dick »

Here's to every team staying healthy so there will be no excuses.

Things i'd like to see today...

Auburn beat Clemson.

USC to keep it close.

OU win by 1 or 20..i dont care other than the pick'ems..ok...OU plz win by more than the spread.

I originally had Texas covering against NDM in the pick'ems...but then i talked to a few Texas fans and they wanted to talk shit so...i swapped my gut feeling and went for NDM to pound the living shit out of the shorthorns. (Stay healthy Texas...please) so i'm rooting for a 20 pt win by the Domers.

Would enjoy seeing the Badgers beat LSU in a close one. Saw that interview with Fornette and he seems like a "me me me" kid so...fuck him...

Obviously i'd like to see Mayfield win a heisman and i think he may...NEXT year when he's the frontrunner. In the meantime i'll root for McCaffery.

what say you? What do you wanna see today??

i'll take any kind of W against Houston. this game feels a little like the BYU game somehow. not Mayfield getting hurt like Bradford....just weird. the Stoopses have always sucked against a run-pass QB like Ward, Jr.

i'd like to see Trevor Knight and Keith Ford do well for ATM.

i'd like to see people stop calling grilling outside BBQ. BBQ is cooking over very low heat, often just smoke...for a long time. grilling is cooking with high heat.....

i think Bama will crush USC and since i've a got a big bottle of booze coming when Auburn wins the SEC.....War Eagle.

i would like to complement Oregon and USC and UCLA for playing some OOC games in the current Pac set up. first thing Colorado did was bail out of a semi-tradition of playing one of the nation's best and toughest OOC's.

i like Moby going against Clemson the first game of the year....i don't think Venables will do as good with all the D/DL losses. i like the guy really but the whole blitz every time on 3rd down thing gets you beat. without consistent pressure up front....and sending a guy on the edge....it's 5 on 3 in the D backfield and over the middle. 3rd and long, you make them beat you by making a play.

Clemson has been kicking OU for a while. last two years. in some crap bowl game Tigers beat a mediocre Switzer team. last bowl game i think for Barry.

yup, 13-6. 1988 Capital One Bowl.

Clemson has outscored OU 90-29 the last three times. ouch.

first two times in 63 and 72 we made them like it....but since then....Sooners are taking it Clemson prison style.

Let's see... ND only beat them by 35 last year, and I'm sure Texass got 45% better this year, and ND got 45% worse. I think that line was set not based on projected margin, but to financially abuse delusional Texas fans. I won't call it a "freebie," but it's close... and it's our Must Pick, so close enough.

What do you wanna see today??
A FBS opponent would be nice, but no such luck.

Didn’t see the interview you did, but from what I have heard, LF is not like that at all.
Remind me again what he did after his first TD?

While I believe he's the best player in the country, non-LSU fans have an issue with his arrogance.

In fact, he could take some lessons on how to act from the guy who is damn-near the same player (may be every bit as good, but shares the carries much more, due to a much deeper RB corps):

Incorrect. BBQ is indirect cooking, meaning it's not cooking anything over any heat, high or low.

Basic shit.

But I have much love and respect for the fuckers who show up the night before and get the fire going, and cook their meat all night.

Just because your team is struggling with a community college, it doesn't mean you should take it out on me, OK?

Y'all kicked us in the teeth to start off the game, but your front six hasn't had an answer for Ward yet. Also, #4 for your secondary is getting burned a lot.

Props to your band, though. Great game so far.

props to your FG kicker....he's awesome.

we won't have an answer for Ward. the Stoops brothers always suck against a legit run-pass threat. Ward is that.

be good Coogs.

Mayfield is a freaking stud. I'm nervous about the halftime adjustments. For Houston to move the ball at will like they did, they should be up by 10. Instead, it's a nailbiter. They need a touchdown on this opening drive.

WHOA!!!

I'd say that there might be some Sooners dangling from shower rods soon, but I don't think a typical shower rod can support the weight of a typical Sooner.

While I've already bitched about opening with an NAIA/FCS/Whatevertheyare, I believe that came from a couple of cancellations by a couple of teams from a conference that doesn't like to do H&Hs with anyone.

But the next 2 are Nebraska and UVA, which ain't too bad.

Who woulda thunk that Season Over Troll would come knocking after an early game on the first Saturday?
