Re: Trump
Trump's tweets are by their very nature imprecise. And yes, before you liberals get your panties all bunched up, that's nobody's fault but his. But it doesn't change the fact that a tweet is not a media that lends itself to precision and conciseness despite the 140 character limit. So claiming Trump said something about something or someone on Twitter and complaining about the imprecise delivery is like complaining about a casserole not being a single ingredient.

What is he hiding?
Not exactly the words of someone worried about repercussions, especially something as little as where his money was coming from.
It would establish whether or not he had ties to Russia, the nature of them, and who he had contract with.If not, how would his tax returns go a long ways toward resolving the issue, as you have stated above?
Roach, a POTUS should never give incomplete messages. ALL the presidents words matter, and if he or she makes inaccurate statements because of a certain medium, they shouldn't be using it.

You might want to look up the meaning of "precise."Rooster wrote:Trump's tweets are by their very nature imprecise. Re: Trump
Hmm, precise vs concise. To be precise requires a larger amount of words, at least to adequately cover a topic's nuance, as opposed to 140 letters and symbols which could be concise if used with talent.

Re: Trump
All hail our Backpedaller in Chief.(CNN) - The White House on Monday walked back key point of President Donald Trump's unsubstantiated allegation that President Barack Obama wiretapped his phones in Trump Tower during the 2016 election.
Namely, White House press secretary Sean Spicer said Trump wasn't referring to wiretapping when he tweeted about wiretapping.
"I think there's no question that the Obama administration, that there were actions about surveillance and other activities that occurred in the 2016 election," Spicer said. "The President used the word wiretaps in quotes to mean, broadly, surveillance and other activities."
Wiretapping is a narrowly defined surveillance activity that involves tapping into "a telephone or telegram wire in order to get information," according to Merriam-Webster dictionary.
Spicer also said that Trump was referring to the Obama administration broadly -- and not accusing Obama of personal involvement -- when he tweeted that "Obama had my 'wires tapped' in Trump Tower" and accused Obama of being a "bad" or "sick guy."
Spicer's comments came on the same say as the deadline for the Justice Department to provide evidence to the House Intelligence Committee to back up Trump's claim. The White House has so far refused to provide any evidence, and numerous former officials have denied the existence of any warrant to wiretap Trump Tower.
A week earlier, Spicer said Trump's tweet "speaks for itself" and declined to provide any further explanation.
But Monday, Spicer was open to providing an interpretation for Trump's tweet, saying the President told Spicer he was referring to means of surveillance beyond wiretapping in his tweets accusing Obama of doing just that.
But in each of the four tweets Trump fired off leveling the accusation, Trump referred specifically to phone tapping -- and only used quotation marks in two of those.
"Terrible! Just found out that Obama had my 'wires tapped' in Trump Tower just before the victory," Trump said in his first tweet.

Re: Trump
I can't claim credit for this but thought it was worth sharing...
When is the President going to explain how the unemployment rate, which he
claimed was at '18, 19, maybe 20 percent' or 'probably 20 percent, could even be
21, 22', before settling on 'probably 25 percent' over and over again during the
campaign has now, in just one month (and merely by adding 235,000 jobs) plunged
to 4.7 percent, which he and Sean Spicer now say is not only the 'real' number,
but the 'very real' number.
I mean, that really *would* be a story - a president
reducing unemployment from 25 percent ('and probably higher than that - I even
heard 42 percent') to 4.7 percent within two months would be nothing short of
miraculous. So, either there's been a miraculous economic recovery the likes of
which the world has never seen before (in which the BLS numbers will be revised
to show that the February job growth wasn't 235,000 after all, but 5 million or
so) or ... he was lying the whole time. Hmm

The rate is still not correct because it doesn't include those who have dropped out of the working pool.

Re: Trump
It's neither "correct" nor "incorrect." It is what it is and it's been calculated the same way for decades. The OFFICIAL unemployment rate that most people quote (actually U-3) is only one of several measures and the most "optimistic." To say it's not correct is not correct. It may not be the one you consider the most indicative of the state of the economy, but that doesn't make it incorrect. The administration that's currently in power will always want to use this number, while those that would criticize might want to use U-6. They're all there for anybody to see.Left Seater wrote:The rate is still not correct because it doesn't include those who have dropped out of the working pool.

Tomato Tomatoe.
The u-6 is the only one that really matters. The economist should keep the other numbers to themselves.
