Pretty much, lets hope that O'Sullivan stays at Florida. Texas doesn't need the Mack Brown of college baseball. It has been fun watching ESECPN eat crow over their all SEC/ACC CWS predictions.
F-You man, I'll never go to Texas. I hated Texas from that point on.

Thats the beauty of baseball, anything can happen. Arizona was just as much of a Cinderella story as Coastal. The so called experts had predicted an 8th place finish in the PAC for the Wildcats preseason.Papa Willie wrote:How 'bout that shit? Over the mighty Pac12 as well!
With the scholarship advantages that private and small public schools supposedly have in baseball I would expect to continue to see this happen often.

Definitely, the private school advantage would be the ability to create academic scholarships targeted at baseball players. It has been rumored that the likes of Miami, Vanderbilt and Rice practice this. Since they are private this can go unreported.schmick wrote:The advantage lies with the cheap schools

While this is partially possible it isn't nearly as wide spread as you might think.
However close to 60% of Rice students get some sort of scholarship or grants. So many on the baseball team do as well. In fact two players this season have full rides based on combinations of academic scholarships and grants. That allows the 11 full scholarships to be split among fewer players. However if 100% of the baseball team had full rides the Conf and NCAA would chime in real quick.

SEC! SEC!

We had the same ump with the same strike zone and did just fine. It didn't stop us from going yard a few times. Good teams adjust. They didn't. They're home now.
The end.
The end.

That horribly botched foul call in Game 2 quite possibly changed the outcome of the series. Also, the strike zone (Game 3) was very inconsistent. But, like you said, LSU adjusted. And ended the best regular season a team has ever had.
And watching Beaverfan cry is OK in my book.
