Well Alice would know golf. Along with Kenny G, he's the best musician/golfer by a mile. They're basically scratch. Campbell's guitar playing was impressive in some weird way. Sort of a cross between Les Paul and Roy Clark, with a dash of that faux "Eastern" sound favored by Dick Dale and others. But...I didn't know, and am shocked to be told, that he was a frequent abuser of cocaine. This surely was his undoing, and the fact that he lasted this long is a tribute to his essential strength.

I knew some good golfers, 2's and so and you don't get that way with a natural swing. These guys were rich mother fuckers who could spend a lot of time on the course and played a lot of tournaments and a lot of high rolling with their buddies.
