That's good to hear. I'm glad you rode it out alright. I should have never been worried about my uncle. My parents called him up after the storm passed and asked him if he had any problems. He replied that he was fine and that he had two women looking after him, two much younger women looking after him and that he didn't have any problems. Anybody who knows my uncle should not be surprised at this.

The media was definitely hoping for the worst here, couldn't take another minute of local or national news from Sunday morning on. I travel through 4 separate counties here for work weekly. Some areas look like not a damn thing happened, others look like N. Korea dropped a nuke. All from wind damage. If a real storm rolls through here we are truly fucked.

My dad lives in Kissimmee just south of Orlando in a gated community. The water came right up to the edge of his house, but he's on a little higher ground than much of the village. They evacuated everyone as power was out. As far as I know, power is still out. Florida doesn't drain very well.
