Re: Texas Church shootings
Sad. My wife knows a few folks that work at her company who have places down there.
Unfortunately most churches here are “gun free.” No word if this one was or wasn’t but it would have been hard to kill so many if someone else had a gun.

It would have been even harder for that guy to kill someone if he didn't have a gun to begin with.

#1 you have no clue (as usual) whether or not this church was "gun free"Left Seater wrote: Unfortunately most churches here are “gun free.” No word if this one was or wasn’t but it would have been hard to kill so many if someone else had a gun.
#2 your first instinct is to blame the church. You're a class act, as always.

Screwey, you're a fukking moron.
B, he could killed as many or more using other implements.
Too bad there weren't others armed there.
Gun free zones are a joke.

Got any proof this church was a "gun free zone?" If so, show it. If not, go fuck yourself. Go fuck yourself, in general.smackaholic wrote: Gun free zones are a joke.

Re: Texas Church shootings
Go back and read my quote. I said I had no idea if this church did or didn’t allow guns. Then you double down on your response to Holic who was talking in general and not about this specific Church. Your reading comp sucks worse than your takes.Screw_Michigan wrote:#1 you have no clue (as usual) whether or not this church was "gun free"Left Seater wrote: Unfortunately most churches here are “gun free.” No word if this one was or wasn’t but it would have been hard to kill so many if someone else had a gun.

2nd nice straw man. I didn’t and don’t blame the Church in any way. This is all on the criminal. You really aren’t good at this.

Time to start sending white Protestant males to Gitmo as a precaution.
Re: Texas Church shootings
Shooter appears to have dropped his AR and fled when met with return fire. Found dead later either from the return fire or self inflicted wound.
Re: Texas Church shootings
This is surprising in Texas. Gun free ?? WTF does that mean anyway? There is a very popular church in town that has a large congregation of people. Several police officers and armed citizens attend each of the 3 Sunday services. They know each other carries guns, the pastors know and approve and they train for such a situation. They sit in different areas, they have no cross fire zones, there is an usher on the cameras with radios to the others. Anybody fucks with this church and they will end up very dead. They will pray for the bad guys soul after he is dead and the threat eliminated.Left Seater wrote:

If some one goes to a church and leaves your weapon at home because it is a "gun free" zone then they are idiots. I do not go places that are "gun free". Take that back..I do go there and I carry a gun, sometimes 2 guns and I do not give a fuck. Concealed is concealed. Never been made in 20 years of concealed carry.
A tweet I saw said it was an Airforce airman, and he had a vest on. I was at a charity dinner tonight for a local non profit, about 100 people there. There was at least 5 concealed weapons on private citizens there that I know of, and 2 police officers there including the Chief of Police. Perps pick soft targets and a church is pretty soft.

National statistics also say that about 90 people were killed in automobile crashes in the US today and at least 10 of those were involving DUI drivers.BSmack wrote:It would have been even harder for that guy to kill someone if he didn't have a gun to begin with.
I think there needs to be controls and laws against car crashes and DUI drivers.

Re: Texas Church shootings
I go into gun free zones all the time. They are called prisons and jails. I also go to places where only cops have guns. They are called courts.
Re: Texas Church shootings
I figured in Texas that a "gun free" zone meant they give away free guns.

Another 30 were killed by distracted drivers on their phones. Get rid of all cell phones, &/or send those who get caught to Gitmo?Derron wrote:National statistics also say that about 90 people were killed in automobile crashes in the US today and at least 10 of those were involving DUI drivers.BSmack wrote:It would have been even harder for that guy to kill someone if he didn't have a gun to begin with.

It's easy to tell some cell phone drivers. You come up behind them on a surface street and they're going 5 - 10 mph slower than the traffic and they can't seem to hold a straight line. 9 out of 10 they're texting.

So it is confirmed now.
A citizen, with a firearm, put an end to this POS.
Rack him and rack the 2rd Amendment.
Would have been nice if some of those folks in the church were armed as well.

Yeah that would have been way cool if a dozen or so armed rednecks had opened fire in the church. Then there probably would be 40 or 50 Baptists on their way to meet their maker.smackaholic wrote:So it is confirmed now.

After Harvey Weinstein was outed as a sexual predator Dem politicians gave away the money that Weinstein had given to them.
So will we see GOP politicians do the same?
Yeah, right!

I was referring to the GOP sucking at the teat of those who block common sense gun control laws.

Re: Texas Church shootings
Ever notice that these types of mentally ill/hyper depressed people are not ill enough to pick a target like a shooting range? They know it would only be a few seconds before there was return fire.
Gun free zones are and invitation for this type of violence.
And rack the good samaritan who ended it asap.
