I thought you were going with the Cali proposes tax increases:
ktla.com/2018/01/18/california-democrat ... s-tax-cut/
The proposal would raise the corporate tax rate 7% on most CA businesses.

Neither of those fucked up stories surprise me. The corporate tax story just illustrates the democratic agenda, 180 degrees from whatever Trump proposes.

Re: Cali at it again.
A lot of corporations have moved out of California because of high operating costs. In the process the state has lost many thousands of jobs to AZ, NV, TX, etc.

I can say this much. For my own high school class there are at least 5 people living in California. All of them are successful professionals who don't want to come back.Screw_Michigan wrote:California attracts successful people from around the world

Re: Cali at it again.
That’s nothing compared to the 1/3 of a Billion dollars of corporate welfare that CA throws at Hollywood a year. But despite those welfare dollars CA is fourth in blockbuster production.Moving Sale wrote:I'm sure the $12.5mil in corporate welfare helped.Derron wrote:Just one of the many reasons business's are ejecting from Commiefornia. Re: Cali at it again.
Of course I do, unlike the Board Bitch I don’t just make shit up and pull crap out of my ass.
http://deadline.com/2017/05/california- ... 00575/amp/Only three of the 100 top-grossing films of 2016 were shot in California with state tax incentives, according to a new report from FilmL.A. It’s another reminder that the state’s program isn’t doing much to capture big-budget blockbusters, which generally produce the most jobs and generate the greatest economic impact – the two main goals of the $330 million-a-year program.

Re: Cali at it again.
So what you are saying is CA needs to spend MORE on corporate welfare to catch up to the blockbuster film production of GA. I thought you were against corporate welfare.
It's like you think we are playing checkers or something.

Re: Cali at it again.
Nice straw man.
You brought up corporate welfare. I pointed out that the $12.5 was a drop in the bucket compared to what CA spends on one industry.
And despite spending 1/3 of a Billion a year and having the Hollywood advantage they are still behind the UK and Canada.
Try to keep up.

UNCLE!
A business left California. You claimed it was in part due to $12.5 million in corporate welfare. I pointed out that CA has a 1/3 Billion Dollar corporate welfare just for the movie industry.
Yes, corporate welfare is bad. California does it just like any other state does.
