Numerous times during this tournament I have stated that team X cannot possibly lose this upcoming game. Team X has lost every time. YAFJ has got nothing on me.

I will see what I can do tonight from the Alamodome. The Vanillaova have been here in numbers and have been cool. Plenty of Kansas folks around but lots of them are locals. Got to thank them for dumping a ton of tickets on the market and making it easier to attend tonight. Have seen any Loyola fans.

Michigan fan is representing pretty well in terms of numbers. Behavior is another thing. Lots of horn honking and yelling all over town. The only bright light if they were to win is it turns up the heat on captain khakis.

So yeah. Couple of thoughts/comments from attending.

1) TSA could learn something from the NCAA. They brought in the Air Force to do the security screening. It was fast, friendly and efficient. Also the security screening took place about a quarter mile from the venue. Tickets were scanned about 100 yards from the venue. This meant the are just outside the stadium was available to patrons during the game. Food trucks, food vendors, and merch were available in this area which cut down on lines anywhere.

B. Lots of Kansas fans stayed. Still haven’t seen a Loyola fan.

&) Michigan fan near us was taunting Vanillanova fan until about 5 mins to go in the first half. Dude stood up a few times and turned around and said thing like suck on that and how’s that taste. Dude left with like three minutes left in the game to all kinds of taunting. He tried to run football smack on his way out but it was weak sauce.

!) We thought traffic and Uber/cabs would be a nightmare. It wasn’t. Half of the downtown streets were closed and we walked a half mile to the Hyatt where a cab was waiting and we were home 35 mins after the final horn.

Oh - I know they're good and all, but geographically - Philadelphia and Michigan don't do shit for me. I mostly watched the Braves getting their asses kicked.

I watched the whole game. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Watched some of the Villanova/Kansas game and not much else this season. Seems as though the game has become not much more than a 3 point contest.

Time to back that line way the fukk up. Move it to NBA spec or better yet, further. Watching a 3 pt bombfest gets boring quickly. Watching a good inside game with lots of passing is far more interesting.

I would argue that you didn’t watch very closely then. Vanillanova was very good at driving inside and drawing doubleteams before passing back outside for a three attempt. They were one of the better passing teams I have seen in a few years.

That Jersey Shore kid could play some defense as well.

No, I didn’t watch that closely as I have already admitted to. And yes, they may pass it around a fair bit which does make it more interesting, but they inevitably kick it back out for 3. And they make those threes at a ridiculously high rate. Back that line out to NBA range. Make them earn that three.

Villanova shot 37% in the final, slightly below their season average. They shot 45% in the semifinal game.
