If the earth is flat, then why are Antarctica & the Arctic zones so cold? Logic would tell you that the Arctic would have no reason to be frozen at all. Is this really that hard for you and 'tardt to figure out, or are you going to come up with something saying that the sun is "highly adjustable"? And before 'tardt comes in and says "Well - the sun is at an angle" - fine - just know that if it was at such an angle, the Antatctic would probably enjoy the same climate as Ecuador does.

Well that day/night video is worthless. It says nothing to address why the rays of light just suddenly stop at a certain point.

If the earth is truely flat the sun would be visible from all points on earth at the same time, as would the moon. Even if you want to argue that when it is further away the light isn’t as strong, you still have an issue to explain. When the sun “sets” there is still a bunch of light. Why does it suddenly just not reach an area any further?

Try this for yourself softball. Take a light bulb and hold it over a dinner plate. Now move the bulb around the plate in a circle. Does the light rail to reach any part of the plate? Nope sure doesn’t. Now move the light bulb directly above one edge of the plate. Light still reaches across the plate to the other side.

Finally explain this in your video model. I am in the left seat flying east towards Louisville. We are at approx 25k feet in our decent towards the airport. Both of us up front have our sun glasses on and the sunscreens down. The nose of the plane is pointed directly into the sun. It is one of the hardest times to see in the cockpit. Meanwhile further west of us in Louisville the airport is completely dark at this point. Pilots are asking the tower to turn up the brightness setting of the runway lights due to the darkness.

Explain how this is possible given the video you posted.

It is just ONE EXAMPLE of a rudimentary model someone posted.
And he plainly posted on the video that it is not meant to show the exact locations of the sun and moon. It is just a demo, so people can get a basic idea of what flat earthers are talking about.

It is dark on the ground in Louisville.

Now imagine you were east of Louisville and were able to fly up to the same height at the sun.
Would you be in darkness?

The sun sets because of perspective.
It you are at a higher altitude (even if you are east of the sun -- and you are high enough) the sun will set later.

He shows how much of the boat is above the hard horizon when he is at 40 ft of elevation.
He shows how much of the boat is above the hard horizon when he is at 6 ft of elevation.

It is THE SAME AMOUNT OF THE BOAT.
If anything, the amount of the boat seen over the hard horizon actually increases slightly at a lower elevation of viewing.

If the boat was going over the curve of the earth, the amount of the boat seen above the hard horizon would DECREASE as viewing elevation decreases.

It doesn't.

Let it sink in.
Digest it.
It is reality.


The boat (as it moves away, or if a person decreases their viewing elevation) gets "swallowed up" little-by-little by the blurring horizon until it is completely gone from view.

This is the reality of human viewing.

There are no boat going over the curvature of the earth.
When a boat disappears it has disappeared simply due to viewing perspective.
