Currently at a wedding in Mexico. The Euros are all stumbling out of their rooms to the sports bar here in the hotel at 7:00am to watch. They then go back to their rooms and sleep till 5:00pm. This has been great as the pool, restaurants, bars have not felt crowded.

So thanks soccer for that, but I have zero interest in this event or sport.

He seems depressed over the fact that he can't get himself to give the slightest of fukks about WC this year. Couldn't possibly have anything to do with England getting done by Iceland last time out. I'll see if I can drag him in here so we can properly mock over the fact that his complete lack of interest in footie might possibly qualify him for a green card to the colonies.

Oh did I mention I'm going to be in Reykjavik for their match against Croatia? If they just take out Nigeria, that match will be to advance to the knockout stage. I fully expect fucking insanity.

Freaking annoying that Mexico was playing today. Check out of the hotel was a joke as was check in at the airport. The agents kept running over to the one small TV to see every play. Security was just as bad. If you ever wanted to sneak something into the US go thru airport security in Mexico while Mexico is playing soccer.

2026 should be interesting, when the WC is shared by Canada, Mexico and the US, and there's a big beautiful wall all the way across the US/Mexico border.

That is laughable. All one needs to do is sign up for Global Entry and Customs Officers don’t even look up at you. Just cleared Customs and Immigration on Sun and never said a word to a single person along the way.
