New White Stripes is disappointing (!)

I was listening to this with my Rhapsody account. A lot of the album is not even drums and guitar. Jack White plays piano a lot. I'm sure it'll grow on me, but it's a little uninspired sounding.

I saw the video for the single. Think the band has explored the limitations of their sound and its become old.

Then again, I've written them off before and eventually come around.

I was convinced that Jack White had quit the White Stripes momentarily to be the lead singer of My Chemical Romance...those two look a little too much a like.

Blue Orchid is pretty cool but I think I'm going to go with my two good songs rule on this album...the next single has to be good before I pick it up.

i agree with the uninspired comment, but have been thinking that
for nearly 18 months now.

(last two live shows i caught, were LAME)

not sure if i'm down with the piano thing, not in a hurry to purchase this one.

i think that wacky woman that jack's been running around with
(and since married) has something to do with his stunted creativity.

the first shots a boobie shot, i think it's from the video...
