Trump today confessed that his son, son-in-law, and campaign chair met in June 2016 with Russian agents in hope of obtaining Russian intelligence to sway the 2016 election. Trump - who denies advance knowledge of the meeting - defends it as "totally legal."
Oh....ok. i thought the meeting never happened?

So, digging for dirt on an opponent is illegal if it is done through those evil Russkies?
Or is it just illegal when it is done by republicans through Russkies?
How about when it is done by dems through Brit and Russkie contacts?

Don did an interview with Reuters last night.
Asked about the Mueller investigation...
As he has done almost daily on Twitter, Trump railed against the probe in the Oval Office interview with
Reuters, repeatedly calling it a disgrace and arguing that Mueller and other members of his team were biased.
Trump asserted that he retained the power to intervene in the probe, but that he had chosen not to do so for
the moment.
His administration, Trump said, was “a smooth-running machine, except in that world. And I’ve decided to stay
out. Now I don’t have to stay out.
“I can go in, and I could do whatever — I could run it if I want. But I decided to stay out,” he said. “I’m
totally allowed to be involved if I wanted to be. So far, I haven’t chosen to be involved. I’ll stay out.”

If the system was working as it is supposed to, the Democrats would move on from 2016 and be campaigning on how they will be improving the country. But just the opposite is happening. They are trying to sell the destruction of the country, the elimination of citizen rights, liberty, and instituting a communist government as a remedy for the party bringing nothing to the table for a majority of Americans.

Re: Obstruction of justice
Ignorance runs rampant for our board democrats. I've posted numerous YouTube videos showing how illegal immigration is a major issue world wide. You all choose not to acknowledge this fact. Now you say the party does not want communism, yet the Democratic party supports ANTIFA, a group of acknowledged anarchists and communists.
My question, what are the issues the Democratic Party are campaigning on for the mid term election?
I won't hold my breath........

Daily Beast wrote:Let’s put it bluntly: Antifa is not part of the Democratic Party, while white supremacists are part of the GOP.
But that hasn’t stopped some on the right from peddling the false narrative that antifa is part of the Democratic Party and somehow Democrats have to answer for the movement. Fox News’ Tucker Carlson recently declared that Antifa “is a political militia that is doing the bidding, in effect, of Nancy Pelosi and Governor Jerry Brown and the mayor of Berkeley and all these supposedly mainstream Democratic politicians.”
Former George W. Bush speechwriter Marc Thiessen, in his Washington Post op-ed Thursday titled “Yes, antifa is the moral equivalent of neo-Nazis,” demanded to know “where are the calls for Democrats to condemn antifa—and the brutal public condemnation for those who fail to do so?”
Sean Hannity added his voice to this chorus of false equivalency throwing a temper tantrum about antifa while asking: “When are the Democrats in this country going to condemn this out of control left-wing hate and violence?” And the list goes on with people like Laura Ingraham parroting this talking point.
You get the idea. The right wants people to believe that antifa is a wing of the Democratic Party and that Democrats must answer for its violent actions. This couldn’t be more wrong and the right knows it.
Let’s be clear about who antifa is and isn’t. It’s a decentralized anti-fascist group. Experts make it clear that antifa members are “self-described revolutionaries” who are “anarchists and communists who are way outside the traditional conservative-liberal spectrum.”
Another in-depth look at antifa members found them to hold “an ideology that runs afield of the Democratic Party platform and supports oppressed populations as it protests the amassing of wealth by corporations and elites.” This investigative report noted that while antifa activists view themselves as peaceful, leaders admit being “willing to physically attack anyone who employs violence against them or who condones racism -- as long as force is used in the name of eradicating hatred.”
Now, are Democrats also anti-fascist? You bet. Do we also despise white supremacists and Neo-Nazis? You know it. But that’s where the overlap ends.
Yet despite this lack of any connection between antifa and the Democratic Party some Democratic leaders have publicly slammed the actions of antifa. Bernie Sanders has denounced antifa’s use of violence, saying that even those spewing hateful words have the right to do so “without fear of violence and intimidation.” No Democratic leaders have ever tried to attract the support of antifa.
And Nancy Pelosi just last week put out a harshly worded statement that came down hard on antifa: “The violent actions of people calling themselves antifa in Berkeley this weekend deserve unequivocal condemnation, and the perpetrators should be arrested and prosecuted.”
In contrast, white supremacists have been coddled, courted, and defended by Trump and others in the GOP. During the campaign Trump retweeted several visible white supremacists, including one with the twitter handle “white genocide,” which is shorthand for these bigots’ fear that the white race will perish as more people of color live in the United States.
Trump caused a well-documented “Trump bump” in terms of membership for white supremacist organizations during his campaign. Indeed, the list of white supremacists praising Trump read like the who’s who of racist hate groups from leading neo-Nazis to self-avowed white supremacists who want America to become a white homeland.

This is a synopsis of the discourse that goes on in these threads when it comes to some of the... shall we say, loonier individuals who post here (I’m looking at you Screwy).
I’m a registered Neo-Nazi Democrat. Just thought I’d throw that out there for some cognitive dissonance. I’m also a single issue voter who vehemently supports the NRA, but only when it comes to 3D printing. I will only vote for a candidate who is with me on returning to the gold standard, but am a staunch supporter of the space program so that we can mine that asteroid out there in the Van Allen belt that’s made out of gold. I support a woman’s right to choose her brand of copying machine so that she can reproduce recipes all day long in the kitchen— where she belongs. I believe the single most important matter facing our country today is universal lawn care. We need to have a national policy that provides every man, woman, and child their own illegal immigrant to do their yard work for free at government expense.
There are no graver situations staring at politicians at this very moment than those multiple solitary political planks I have formulated to cover all contingencies and all situations than those I have noted and I demand a Congressional hearing on this while we conduct a Million Man March on our nation’s interstate highway system.
Other than that, I am open to suggestions to increase the inclusiveness of this board. I sense a lot of hate here, especially on that rational Screwy guy.

2. Hillary lied on national TV about her private server and the amount of classified information on it. Re: Obstruction of justice
Any guilty pleas or convictions affiliated with these accusations? Of course not.Joe in PB wrote: 1. Hillary was nominated because big money wanted their whore to sell out the country, which is why Bernie got rail roaded in the primaries.
2. Hillary lied on national TV about her private server and the amount of classified information on it. Left seater brought up why she would want her own private server, so the DoJ would have a more difficult time monitoring her activity. Not that the Clinton's have bent the rules before, oh wait........

Trump wanted to, but was advised against it, because Hillary is done.Screw_Michigan wrote:Oh yeah? Re: Obstruction of justice
Be objective for once in your life screwy. Politics is a dirty business largely because of the campaign money needed to run. I don't doubt Trump like Hillary bent some rules of law. But because both parties are guilty of such, I don't see Trump being impeached for those issues.
