Same fucking thing you said about a week ago when the market dropped 800. The it came back 500. Then 200.

It is always a nice idea to keep some cash on hand, isn't it?
The bulk of your cash in the bank.

If there is a doomsday scenario where folks cannot get their money out of banks, then issues would be so severe that even holding a large amount of money is probably not going to help you that much.

In the next downturn (which has likely already started), cash will be king.

If you are putting new money into U.S. equities now, after this insane run-up (and still near all-time highs), you are a major fool.

But you do whatever you think.

We've been talking about the stock market, so I answered your question in that context.

Real estate is a totally different animal.
I would not necessarily advise against putting some money into property, depending on a whole host of factors.

U.S. markets are bouncing UP today.
Not surprising, given the beating they took yesterday (and over the last couple of weeks).
