Sorry Wagon... the record setting game has been ignored by a bunch of middle aged men who prefer to act like teenage girls and go back and forth on political issues that will NEVER have any resolution.. kinda like "teenage girls".

Sidenote: I'm a Chiefs fan,but I don't understand how a woman-beater like Tyreek Hill is celebrated. A lot of people have lost their livelihood for less than what that little SOB did. I guess so many NFL players beat women that we tend to ignore it.

He's a star. Watch his game slip in the same behavior will earn a trip out of the league. No different than James Harrison beating his wife. One of the lamest things that Dan Rooney ever did was try to explain that away by saying that he was trying to get his baby baptized.

If the game was in KC, the Chiefs win. I'll take New Orleans to win the Super Bowl though.

Fun game to watch...if you hate defense.

The rules have got to be changed. No way should QBs and WRs be protected to the point that the defense can't do anything.

So you'd prefer to watch a game that ends 3-0 with 20 punts? Probably not.

Like it or not, NFL fans enjoy offense and big plays. I believe they'd also prefer that star skill players don't spend all season on IR or have promising careers cut short due to injury. Don't get me wrong - I LOVE good defense, and there was some on display last night - Aaron Donald's strip sacks, Chris Jones's QB pressure, KC's ability to consistently keep Gurley from getting to the edge. The fan poll results I've seen (unscientific though they may be) indicate most believe last night's game was the best regular season game ever. And isn't the game about the fans?

I agree a balance needs to be struck that allows defensive players to administer hard hits while protecting, to a reasonable degree, the QBs and receivers. It seems your beef is that the current rules allowed for too many points to be scored last night. I know this is somewhat of a ridiculous question, but given two teams like those who played last night with high-powered offenses, what type of score would you like to have seen as the final? 20-17?

What? The Rams are 2nd in the league in rushing attempts and rushing yds (Todd Gurley says "hey"), and KC is ranked 8th. NO is ranked 6th. Are you sure you watch football?

The Rams did a piss poor job of clock mgmt after they intercepted Mahomes. Shoulda run the ball and the clock.

Gurly was ignored for most of the game, and Andy Reid is known for forgetting about running the ball in the 2nd half of games. So is Mike McCarthy, and Sean McVay seems to be another. I don't expect to see anything different come playoff time.

I'll agree the game was entertaining, even though what we saw wasn't championship football.

The game had plenty of excitement.

I could do without the pajamas -- and some other things.


A baseball purist can find pleasure in a well-played 1-0 game -- or a well-played 11-10 game.

Likewise for a football purist.
A 7-6 game can be as great as a 54-51 game.

The big problem with the NFL right now is that a well-played 7-6 game is not possible.

A 54-51 game is only really great if a well-played 7-6 game is also possible in the league in which it is played.

You may be right. I did some research and found that the lowest scoring game this year was Tennessee's 9-6 win over Jax in wk 3. I didn't watch the game but it's hard to imagine those two teams playing well to reach that score. There have only been two other games played this year in which <20 total points were scored (Mia over the Jets 13-6 in wk 9, and the 'skins over the Bucs 16-3 in wk 10), and only seven other games in which <30 total points were scored. Most of those games featured two crappy teams, with GB shutting out the Bills 22-0 in wk 4, and Hou beating Jax 20-7 in wk 7 being the only ones in which there was a half-way decent team on the field.

Choreographed team end zone celebrations.

There isn't a roll eyes thingy big enough to express my disdain for this practice.

Jackoffs, you get paid _____ million dollars a year because you are supposed to get it into the end zone.


This end zone bullshit is right up there with the practice of taking 18 cell phone pics of your lunch at KFC, a few of which show you "duck facing," so that you can post them on facebook to show how damn cool you are.

I don't mind the end zone celebrations so much. What bothers me is players actually going out of their way to celebrate first downs. A guy might gain 2 yards in garbage time to keep the drive alive while the team is down by 40 points and he will celebrate like he just won the goddamn Super Bowl.
