CNN just did their homework. The Grand Jury met yesterday after weeks of inactivity. Anybody with half a brain would have realized that something was likely to go down, if not today, then real soon. CNN probably had teams outside of Don Jr's house and a few others, as well as Stone's. The Stone team just happened to score. Jr may be next.

Stone is a major POS and a potentially dangerous man.

I don’t know that with their ratings freefall and the subsequent layoffs that CNN had the staff available to stakeout all these various individuals you mentioned. The more obvious answer is that someone in either the Mueller investigation or the FBI leaked their plan to the news network. Occam’s razor and all that, you know.
