I’m going to consider this using the Progg Kavanaugh paradigm.
He is quite useful for the GOP as an example of the Democratic Party’s hypocritical nature on race relations if he doesn’t resign, so yes, he has utility in that respect. And as a twofer he advocates for waiting until after the birth of a baby to give the mother time to dither on whether or not to snuff him out, so there’s that as well.

Let’s recap, shall we? The Dems advocate slavery and infanticide by putting forward a governor who is sympathetic with both stances. Sure, he claims to not support these things, but look at his obvious white hooded/black faced heterosexual white male privileged face— it’s begging to be punched.

Yet the Left did their level best to keep Kavanaugh from being a Supreme despite not having done any of the stuff he was accused of doing as a teenager. While I’d be agreeable to reset the conversation regarding things like blackface and KKK hoods on Democrats misbehaving as youngsters, until the Left is willing to drop the whole racist shtick, I’m inclined to say the governor has to go. After all, the Right didn’t make those rules, the Left did, what with those silly identity politics and all.

And this is the salient political lesson of the age we are in taught by the student who is the valedictorian of the class, Donald Trump. Northam is guilty not of enthusiastically rooting for the death of babies having been born, nor is he guilty of wearing a white pointy hat or wearing blackface. No, his crime is that he is adhering to a standard of conduct that is from a bygone era, the Age of Civility which ended, oh, around the second Tuesday of November, 2016.

Now this didn't start with Trump, but it became the baseline for discourse in today's public sphere once he became the official standard bearer for our country. The Left may decry that they aren't in any way responsible, but the truth is they have been coercing apologies for minor shit from people in the public realm for years now. Trump was simply the first major figure to tell the SJWs to go pack sand to the delight of all of us who were weary with all the hectoring and sermonizing by the Left for all the ficticious privilege and racism they see everywhere. Most elected Dems have called for the resignation of the VA governor. Meanwhile Tulsi Gabbard is running for President and has a record of working against LGBTQANBYVD whatever the fuck. She worked hard to define marriage as between a male and a female. She made many “hurtful” comments about the gays.

Why aren’t their calls for her to halt her campaign or resign from Congress? Or do the gays and all the other letters not matter as much as the balcks and their votes?
