The Sierras will have enough snow melt this year... to flood the rest of California for a few years.

How much rain in SF?

I figure 2 or 3 feet ought to get the sidewalks clean..... for a few hours, anyway.

SF has just invented the bumshit-slide.

Maybe just call it the bumslide.

Sorta like a mudslide, with the letters re-arranged. But a bit smellier.

The average for the entire year in San Diego is 10.4 inches. They've gotten about that much so far this year, which ends in July. March and April are usually wet months, so it's above normal so far.

Problem is, in 2018 we were at about 33% for the entire year. I know you guys don't believe in climate change or global warming or whatever you want to call it, but in a state where we normally fluctuate from drought to above average on a regular basis, the result is more severe drought years followed by more intense stormy years. If you go from 0 inches one year to 20 inches the next year you're keeping the average but it's not ideal.

Lake Mead, BTW, where SoCal gets a lot of water, is so far down it would probably take several years of heavy rain to fill back up.

It proves that everything he does is claim 'bode for things he has nothing to do with. Be it posting someone's photo or claiming bode because he may share a zip code with someone who once did something notable (mostly lose SBs).

Assuming larger fluctuations are the new norm, perhaps you might do something that would actually make sense, like increase your ability to store water when it does fall, rather than build a buncha fukking magic shade trees and windmills. I wonder how many gallons of precious water ended up in the Pacific this year?

And all that Cali rain ain't gonna do Mead much good. I believe the large majority of it's watershed is AZ, CO, UT, NM. Don't know how much of this Pacific Stuff gets over the Sierra Madre.

The D&L needs to either catch more water or get 10-20 million water sponges to pick up and move to where the water is. Cali, through financial dumbfukkery is working on that second option, but I think they need to look at the first a little harder.

Technically, no, it's not a desert.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mediterranean_climate

A "Mediterranean" climate is characterized by dry summers and wet winters.
The landscape is green here in the winter and the spring, and more brown in the summer. Pretty much opposite of anything east of the Mississippi which is bare in the winter.

When we don't get our normal winter rain it's a drought but that doesn't make it a desert. Right now everything is green as fuck and I'm going to have a shitload of weeds to deal with soon.
