What's pitiful is that people paid money to see a couple of 70 year olds in their halloween costumes.

Although I won't hate on them too much -- the guitarist is a friend-of-a-friend, attended the same high school as me, and is very active and generous in the community. And his dad freed a freaking Nazi concentration camp (General James Thayer died recently).

Anyone remember the band Black and Blue? That was Tommy.

Expect many, MANY more years of this to come.

I heard Gene in an interview not long ago say that they would eventuallty phase out all original members and replace them with look-alikes wearing the same character costumes.

I always thought they sucked. I think I first heard them in about '75, and I'd already been spoiled with things like Sabbath & Purple, and could immediately tell they were nowhere near that level.
Ace Frehley's New York Groove was pretty good

You are truly one of the worst pieces of shit to ever post on this board. Start giving up your paycheck for reparations now and then you can shut the fuck up about your racist blasts.

So the one guy in the band with any discernable musical talent made good tunes? Go figure.

Always loved that song.

Rock Soldier was alright, for a sober dude.

Tommy drops some major coin locally here at Pacific University, and is on the Board of Directors. Played in a foursome behind him and some guys in a benefit golf tournament several years ago. He was pretty damn funny and not a bad golfer. Shot the shit with him at the BBQ after the tournament. Music never came up at all.

Never though shit of Kiss anyway, pretty much a freak show to me.

I've been familiar with their schtick for years. I've never gone, but they've played Dante's many times.

There's plenty of Kiss fans out there. Kiss cruises...Kiss license plate holders...Kiss coffins...
I don't understand it. I just let them be.
If you've ever heard Eddie Trunk gush on about them, you'd wonder if they even share the same reality and time/space dimension as you do.

One of my favorite Russ Ballard numbers.

Played this set a few weeks ago in TuneTown (2/1):

Three Dog Night - "Liar"
Ace Frehley - "New York Groove"
Santana - "Winning"
Rainbow - "Since You Been Gone"
Russ Ballard - "Voices"
