Unlike you, I actually vote candidates and issues and not party lines. I voted for Obama because I thought he would bring the country together, then voted for him again after feeling the Republicans in Congress were not willing to compromise on the budget/s. I regret voting for him for the second term now because I feel he ramped up the division of the country by throwing gasoline on the racism fire.

As for Trump I decided at the last minute to vote for him after seeing Hillary lie on National TV about classified documents on her private email server. I had my reservations then, but do not anymore. Trumps idea to cut corporate tax from 30% to 20% was pure genius and it is reflected by the low unemployment numbers. Democrats have done nothing since the 2016 election except call for investigations of Trump, and accuse him and anyone who voted for him as racists. The other negative Democrats face for the 2020 election is the very high likelihood if their candidate wins those corporate taxes will be raised back up to 30%, and with it unemployment and deminished GDP. That's not in the best interests of citizens, but then again as we've seen in California, the Democratic party could care less about what is in the best interests of citizens or governing in accordance with what is important to the majority.
