The law references “natural” hairstyles and then says braids and twists are two types of “natural” styles. Uh, no.
I wonder what this will do to dress codes in practice. For example at Seater Industries we have a dress code and grooming requirements for both pilots and office staff and they are slightly different from male to female. Looking specifically at our male pilot grooming policy it says hair will be kept no longer than the collar of their pilots uniform shirt. Would a black pilot be able to claim his hair that was longer than the collar was of a natural style? If so this would create a disparity based on race that someone then of another race could challenge.
