Baltimore is the murder capital of the US, and it only has gotten worse over the years. Everyone of those states has nice areas, not much is nice in Baltimore which has a population in decline because of high property taxes to go along with a high crime rate.

And yes, a congressman or senator should be able to influence a city in their jurisdiction for the better.

No matter a persons party affiliation there should be no right or wrong argument, only a discussion on how to improve the situation, which isn't the case on Capitol Hill or the mainstream media.

Democrats complain about migrant detention centers yet it is they who have in part created the problem by encouraging illegal immigration.

Not because of any perceived conservative grievances such as high taxes and high crime. BTW--Cummings' district include much of Howard County, which is one of the nicest and wealthiest suburban jurisdictions in the US.
