Cueball, you bastard...
Atleast find a funny picture of them if you're going to make fun of them. You guys can mock them if you want but atleast they aren't a laughing stock anymore. This team won only 43 games two years ago...they've come a long way from that point. This is a team that should challenge for a winning record this year but they don't show the consistency to take them to the next level and compete with the upper tier of the league.

Polanco has been a machine since he joined the Tigers. He had three hits last night against the D'backs. In 14 games...he's hitting .397, driven in 9 runs, stole three bases and has an OPS of .929. He's also been a solid defensive 2B as well...only 1 error since he's joined the team. I think between the players involved in the trade, the Tigers win that one but for the fact the Phillies get to play Utley full-time, that's what makes this a good trade both ways.
Some of you can say what you want about the Tigers but they're above .500 and definitely on the radar for the AL Wild Card. I've been waiting for the White Sox to slip up for a while but I'm giving up on that. It's time to focus on a more attainable goal...the division is out of the question as far as I'm concerned. They're expected to get Guillen and Ordonez back from the DL within the next week. Believe it or not, the Tigers are tied for 5th in the majors in ERA. Oddly enough, four teams from the AL Central are in the top six in ERA in for the entire league.
The Tigers offense is only going to get better with Ordonez and Guillen returning from injury and they've got an underrated pitching staff. I really hope they're buyers at the trade deadline this year. When there are guys like Schmidt and Zito out there, the Tigers have the young arms in the farm system to be a player in the trade market. They're unsettled in the 5th spot in the rotation. I think they should look at acquiring another starting pitcher. Ownership said before the season they're willing to spend in order to make the Tigers a contender and right now, they're in the hunt for sure.
