Disagree. SunCoastIdiot is ready to declare victory over one recruit. A kid everyone knew would never leave Norman because he knocked up some chick and
couldn't. SCI goes on to over-play Carroll's involvement in this kid's recruiting, like he's some kind of idiot. Ergo, it becomes relevant to remind SCI that Carroll is no idiot, based on prior results.
You're right we've done just fine head to head, but that's not what SCI jumped into this thread for.

I didn't declare victory of any sorts. I stated that Pete Carrol has been in OKC swinging from McCoy's sack, which he has. As it has been confirmed by both Oklahoma and USC sources that PC was in OKC for almost a week and came to his school twice and his home atleast twice. I doubt seriously that he is going to OU just because he might have knocked up his girlfriend, a rumor that I might add appears may be false and started at a Notre Dame site.
As as "jumping" into this thread, son you need to go back and take another look at this thread because I was involved in this discussion about 3 pages before you were and McCoy has been a more than healthy portion of the discussion.
Take a Valium Meds and don't take recruiting so personal. From the looks of it I'm willing to bet you are one of those infamous internet fans who talks the world up about some kid coming out of high school and then when he doesn't choose your school he suddenly becomes a player you didn't really want or need and will probably never develope. As a Sooner fan I'm used to those sort of people because we have more than our fair share of them.

Son?
SunCoastIdiot you couldn't put together a coherent argument, let alone paragraph, if you had a week to prepare.
Unlike most of the Soonerfans here, you've been one of the long and bitter holdouts regarding the Trojans, and it's obvious.
In recruiting, coaches go head to head all the time and, duh, only one man gets his guy. I could post in threads like a thirteen year old, i.e. like yourself, but it's not productive. To borrow your unsophisticated eloquence, Stoops swings from some of the same nutsacks as Carroll, Weis, Meyer, et. al. This much is obvious.
To frame this process in such a light paints you as the kind of guy who follows recruiting only lightly and, based on head-to-head results for a single recruit, a guy who is still bitter. Bitter about another time in recent months where a head-to-head competition between Stoops and Carroll went the other way.
Son, you should learn to be grateful for what you get- as opposed to glad about what another guy didn’t.
You are still an idiot.

BTW, CB Jai Eugene commits to LSU after backing out of his UofM commitment.
We should see JSC make his bi-yearly appearance soon.

Seriously???? Next year I am not taking anything for granted. I wont think we have a kid until he has signed on the dotted line. Too much back and forth stuff. Schools think they have a committed so they stop going after other kids at that position and then the kids decide to back out and the school losses out. Why would anyone want to go to LSU at this point?

What's the deal with Daron Rose? He dropped us from his list, but it's now apparently down to USF and FSU.
I don't know how you guys can keep up with this so much, especially since guys change their minds so much.

I heard Rose dropped USF and its down to FSU and South Carolina.
Recruiting coverage has turned everyday fans into crack whores. W/ all the sites and all the rankings and updates, I cant get enough. Sucks, cause we are dealing w/ 18 year old kids who are trying to please themselves, momma, grandmomma, Coach, Uncle Willy, nook nook and O-Dawg.

Got a link or anything substantial to back this up? I didn't root for texass but I did come in and give them props after they beat you. Unless we are playing USC or their performance effects the outcome of Oklahoma's season I really don't give a shit about USC one way or the other. I know that is hard for you to accept that there are people out here who are college football fans but just don't really give shit in either direction as to what is going with USC unless it effects their team but we do exist. Delusions of grandeur much?

Never heard of Stoops or Weis and Meyer, for that matter, spending almost a week halfway across the country to focus on a single recreuit before.

As I said before... delusions of gradeur much?

Lemming was touting Greg Paulus as a Heisman candidate IF he went to play FB at Notre Dame. Didn't everyone already know this guy was a ND homer?

USA Today wrote:By Thomas O'Toole, USA TODAY
WASHINGTON — One of the nation's top high school football players from last season says prominent recruiting analyst Tom Lemming told him he would be "showcased" and would increase his chances of being most valuable player in the annual U.S. Army All-American Bowl high school all-star game "if I kept a certain school on my (recruiting) list."
Myron Rolle, a Princeton, N.J., defensive back who already has enrolled at Florida State, made the remarks Monday morning to a public forum on the "Collegiate Athlete Experience" conducted at George Washington University by the Knight Commission on Intercollegiate Athletics. They came in response to a question about the recruiting process and also were carried live on a webcast.
Approached afterward by USA TODAY, Rolle said the school in question was Notre Dame and reiterated his comments about Lemming, a national recruiting expert from Chicago whose information is used extensively by this newspaper.
"He told me if I kept Notre Dame in mind, the NBC (TV) guy would interview me and they would showcase me during the game," Rolle said. NBC, which showed the high school game in San Antonio on Jan. 7, also has a contract for Notre Dame home games. Added Rolle: "He told me I'd have a higher chance of being MVP. I took it as having less of a chance of getting MVP if I didn't keep Notre Dame on my list."
Rolle, who did not list Notre Dame among his six finalists, said Lemming told him this last spring. He also said Lemming tried to interest him in schools other than FSU, something he originally told ESPN The Magazine last summer. "He stepped out of the bounds of what he should be doing," said Rolle, who added that recruiting analysts should simply be gathering information.
Lemming, contacted by cellphone as he prepares to do football signing-day commentary Wednesday on CSTV, flatly denied ever talking to Rolle about the all-star game or suggesting he could be MVP if he kept Notre Dame on a list.
"Myron is the biggest media hound that I've ever seen," said Lemming, who is involved with staging the all-star game. "I selected him for this game in September, and he played in the game.
"(Criticism) is part of the business when you select an All-American team. Myron's taking it to a new level. It hurt his ego when he wasn't first-team All-American."
He also said if Rolle construed questions about other schools as an attempt to sway him, he concedes he could have phrased something differently but felt he was making a legitimate point. Rolle is an outstanding student who has said wants to go to med school.
Lemming said he merely questioned his choice of FSU when Rolle had offers from Stanford and Duke among others and "told me he wanted to go to the best school possible. ... I took it as asking a legit question."
Lemming says he had Rolle among his top recruits in the summer but dropped him to 28th as the season progressed because he said he didn't play well. Rolle, whom newspapers in New Jersey said missed three games because of injuries, played in the U.S. Army game. Both he and Lemming said he was not interviewed by NBC.
He did not make first- or second-team USA TODAY All-USA. He is, however, currently the No. 1 prospect on ESPN.com. Lemming's No. 1 is Chris Wells, an Akron, Ohio, running back who is expected to sign with Ohio State and was MVP in the U.S. Army game. Rolle said Wells deserved to be MVP.
"Every year kids get mad," Lemming said. "It's just not in front of the Knight Commission."
Lemming has no credibility.
Myron Rolle is anything but an attention seeker and his handling of the recruitment process proved as much. He didn't mislead anyone. He put everything on the table from the begging, made his college choice early in the process, and has never waivered from what I have heard.
Edit: damn didn't notice that this had already been posted.

Rose is solid to FSU from what I've heard. Even Gene Williams mentioned something about pencil this kid in for the recruiting class.

Fuck me in the ass, Morgan picked USC. Thats 13 in the Rivals100 for them. To the victor goes the spoils. I hope Ball's coomitment today didnt sway him towards the West Coast. Fuuuck, thought we had this guy.

I have to ask, Cicero, did you spend any time in prison? You sure do make a lot of ghey comments about you and dicks or you and getting it in the ass.
Second, you should see the melt down on the aggie boards with Morgan's anouncement, and it didn't get much of a mention on the SC board. Made me laugh my ass off.
The good news about the SC class is that they still are only allowed to play with 11 guys same as everyone else.
BTW it looks like Jonas Mouton has not chosen Texas but has instead committed to Michigan. So Congrats to the Wolverines.
