OU vs. Oregon

Well, you guys are getting your sig no matter what, because you gotta play the cards you're delt.
But, I will say that we got awfully lucky on the onside kick call. Looked like the ball went 9.5 yards, not 10. At live speed, I thought it looked good, but in slow mo, definitely looked like we touched it just before it went 10.
With that being said, there is also no way that Stewart fumbled on that call that gave you the go ahead drive. There was just no good replay angle to show the ball and his play, but it sure looked, to me, like he went down and the ball came out after.
And if there was no instant replay at all, both of those calls stand. Fumble and onsides, cause thats what they were called on the field.
Also, your defense was swiss chese those last final minutes and you still could have made a play. And considering that we still needed to block a kick at the end to get it...I'll take it.

Fuck you M2, we got screwed like I have never seen, I will not wear any sig when the refs stole the game from us.
I am not fucking bitch, Oregon got a gift, and instant replay can kiss my fucking ass, if they got shit right I would be for it, but they certainly did not and do not.
OU is a better team than Oregon on this day and I will take that and party on.

Typical. Take your medicine and shut your mouth. Bottom line, it was an "L". Did OU get screwed? Yes. Are you a poor sport? YES. Go away. One play will never equal 14 points. This one is on OU.OUMO wrote:OU is a better team than Oregon on this day and I will take that and party on.
Like "JayDuck" said... Stewart was down, and didn't fumble. It goes both ways.

Well, maybe let me get about another 2000 posts under my belt, and then watch college football for about another 20 years and I can catch up with you.
Maybe it is a possiblity that you did not actuallly get to see the game and how the refs screwed OU, so I will give you that leniency.
I am not going to take any shit off some bitch faced fuck ass that thinks that they are important.
I will take my fucking sig because I sack up, that is for the good Oregon fans on the board, but I will still let you know that what happened pissed me off.
No way you run me off light weight.

So, exactly how is this making you look like less of a whiny bitch?OUMO wrote:Well, maybe let me get about another 2000 posts under my belt, and then watch college football for about another 20 years and I can catch up with you.
Nope. ABC was all over that shit here in the northern midwest.Maybe it is a possiblity that you did not actuallly get to see the game and how the refs screwed OU, so I will give you that leniency.

Well, that was interesting.
Shitty way to win, but I'll take it.
Other than the questionable replay review(a case could certainly be made that in the tipped pass/PI, you couldn't see actual hand-to-ball contact, and therefore wouldn't be "conclusive"0...
That was pretty much a barnburner.
OU could have made a FG or any other of a number of plays, and they didn't. Toss all the referree BS aside, and Oregon made the plays at crunch time.
A blocked FG to win the game? Are you kidding?
I don't feel too good about the botched review, but I sure the hell ain't going to let it ruin my day.
OK, games over...back to being BIGBIG Peterson fan again.

Nice win Oregon, anytime you beat Oklahoma it is a fantastic thing, thank goodness you had the guts to play us in Norman and we returned the game in Eugene enjoy your win, you should, I would.
Things are okay with Oklahoma football, the season goes on and I will alway support them.
And always be stuck right here in the CFB, waiting for my sig ;)

In the ref's defense, a case could be made that neither call was conclusive. Too bad replay reviews don't have a 'common sense' component to them.Dinsdale wrote:Other than the questionable replay review(a case could certainly be made that in the tipped pass/PI, you couldn't see actual hand-to-ball contact, and therefore wouldn't be "conclusive"0...

Respect, BOARD rule.
We lost, Oregon and their fans deserve the respect.

needless to say that game was painful to watch.
yeah,OU got hosed by the two no calls BUT they got away with a no call on the TD by Kelly as he clearly pushed off.
no matter,Oregon won,good game Ducks.

Upon further review, after all the emotion has worn off...
The call was FUCKING CORRECT!
Stop your whining. OU player had his hand poked through Oregon player's arm, and did in fact touch the ball forst, then an Oregon player fell on it, and it was blown dead.
And if OU's player didn't actually touch it first(he did) it sure wasn't conclusive enough to overturn the on-field ruling.
That's got to make it sting even more, Soonerfan -- your one empty excuse isn't actually an excuse at all. You recieved just as much love from the offiv=cials as Oregon did.
You just got beat by a better team.
And I doubt that anyone should be questioning the sort of influence that Duckfans, and My People in general, can have on a game. Duckfan was so deep in the Sooner domes, it was kinda funny.
If I hear any more whining about the refs making the CORRECT call, I'm going to make Soonerfan's life a little harder...and I'm in a very good position to do so...what with being owed sigs and whatnot.

BTW -- AD still rocks the party, and ran all over the Ducks, just like he had in the two previous meetings....which can only be described as a "shock to no one."
But damn, OU is going to have to recruit better talent with more speed on defense if they're going to compete with PAC10 teams. It was only a couple of lucky breaks (and generosity from the officials), along with some Bellotti-esque-moves that kept that game from being a complete freaking blowout...sorry of reality hurts....but that's not my problem.
Bellotti going for the FG from 86 yeards was nuts, and putting Leaf in for a series when they were pinned deep was dumb, and completely changed the momentum. Should have been 24-0 at half.
RACK Cole Linehan for an outstanding game. Guy's playing with a chip on his shoulder since his father, Ron Linehan(sup coach of Dins' HS team, and PE teacher for multiple years), died earlier this year(RIP, Ron). Cole's uncle, Scott, might be known to St Louis Rams fans.
Blair Phillips also played an amazing game, but we've come to expect that of him over the last couple of years. Patrick Chung rocked, as well.

C'mon Dinsghdad, stand up and admit that right here in Oregon, we will probably be the awarded the biggest HOMER job of the year. Even the Oregonian's Canzano, the freshest sports reporter that the Oregonian rag has, even wrote, "If we're going to have a group catharsis here, we need to acknowledge that Mr. Magoo must have been working the video replay booth. If they're going to use instant replay and slow down the games and leave players and coaches and fans standing around, they'd better start getting it right. The onside kick in the final 72 seconds that was awarded to the Ducks? If you were watching on television from your sofa, you saw it touch Oregon's Brian Paysinger before it traveled 10 yards. Your spouse saw it. Your children saw it. The family dog probably saw it. So did eanyone in the stadium who looked up at the giant video monitor."
