No I'm not. Rev Al and Uncle Jesse are objective opponents of any kind of racism and bigotry. They would invest the time and effort to take up the cause for a non black person.

But I meant Uncle Jesse Jackson, totally opposite.

Yeah Mr. Britt has indeed been blessed. Seems like he's living up to the "Too those whom much has been given, much will be expected" though.

After this whole Imus debacle goes away, the issue itself will not. That much I can guarantee you. Does anyone really think that all the black comics who get away with bagging on the white man (Chris Rock, Dave Chappelle, etc, etc) won't be put under a microscope sometime in the near future? No way this stops with Imus. The white man will rise up. This saddens me. The PC Police are putting an end to the funnay. I hate to borrow a line from Frisco... but WAKEY WAKEY, people.

So what ? My comment was more geared towards a take someone had on my take. I.E. That these broads aren't "scarred for life".

Your take seems to be on a higher level, that is, nothing should be done to the person who hurts someones feelings by saying something mean on the air.

Two part answer.

1. The women have every right to feel what they feel and have those feelings known.
2. People have every right in the world to threaten to boycott advertisers of his show in order to evoke some response from his employers.

As for the base hypocrisy of MSNBC, I'm assuming CBS will follow suit too, who hired him when his entire career is based on comments like "The Williams sisters look like they belong on the cover of National Geographic more than Sports Illustrated" and stuff ...... Well that's our media. Slimy, smarmy, slithery pussies without a back bone and with absolutely no principles.

The fact they're throwing him under the bus today is because .... once again ..... Rev Al and Uncle Jess Jackson notwithstanding brandished their sword in the general direction a "heap o trouble for ya if ya don't".

Interesting about those two comics, both of whom have been more critical of the black man than the white man in their standup aand their tv shows.

Rock's infamous "N...iggers versus Black People," something that made his HBO special huge and him as well. Rock later told Ed Bradley that he got a lot of feedback from people and that because of the negative feedback, he wouldn't be doing it again ever. Seems a lot of people took it to mean something that it wasn't.

Chappelle left 50 million on the table because after two seasons of his show, he felt that the reaction of many to his jokes about the black man left him with a terrible feeling. So, rather than get a lot of money to continue to stereotype the black man, he said fuck it and went to Africa.

Those two individuals HAVE been put under the microscope already: by themselves and by the people they most make fun of. And, they changed their comedy routines because of the negative feedback. The world didn't come to an end when that happened.

Going back to mvscal's favorite comedian, Lenny Bruce, there have always been white comedians who have made fun of other ethnicities and there have been black comedians who have done the same. Personally, I find race/stereotype humor extremely funny and I don't think the lame bits of a few hacks like Michael Richards and Don Imus will remove such humor from the popular culture landscape.

No need for the white man to rise up just yet...

Word. I'm sure when the ladies of the Rutgers team were informed that some old fart called them nappy-headed hos, they didn't even lift their heads out of their fellow players crotches long enough to give a non-muff muffled response.

MSNBC this morning had some reporter talking to a mick and two blacks about the incident. Both of blacks were saying the problem is that there aren't enough blacks on the network news. They were reading from the exact same set of talking points. Motherfucking negros got they act together better than the Dems. They were taking the spin on the non-issue and spinning it even further.

In summary, fuck absolutely anyone who uses this situation for their own whiny agenda.

Vic,
I also find most of the racial humor to be funny. Especially the way the black comics over the years have bagged on the white man. Eddie Murphy's white doctor voice kills me to this day: "So you get this burning sensation when you urinate?" I am not calling for the white man to rise up because as I said, that would sadden me. I am just waiting for the other shoe to drop.

Patrice O'Neal was on a the Opie and Anthony show this morning. He said he would immediately adjust his act for fear of backlash from both the non-black AND black communities. It's already happening. We're moving towards a point where our society is becoming so politically correct, people will be afraid to say things that are really funny. I'm not just talking about race jokes. I am talking about anything that might be construed as offensive to a particular group of people. You just wait. No more fag jokes is next. Who the fuck knows when this madness will end. The funnay is going away. Just wait and see...

The comment was inappropriate. And the banter of others during that exchange certainly lead to it. Here was a Rutger's team playing for a National Championship. They fought to be there and fell short. Imus degraded that.

So - why can the radio guys make fun of every other race except blacks? I hear them imitating asian bad accents, rednecks, gays, and black people bust on white people all the time.

And when will sharpton be going down to duke to apologize to the white players he accused of raping the black whore? After all he was wrong.

They won't go after Stern. The difference between Stern and Imus, other than one show being decent half of the time and the other being an abomination to radio, is that Imus's show was sponsored by the likes of Proctor and Gamble, while Stern's show is sponsored by companies like "Clips for sale" internet porn. What, you think "Clips for sale" is going to drop Stern's show because he's offensive? They sponsor it now with people playing anal ring toss and feeding a fatass for 24 hours and weighing his turds.

Besides, you'll never hear Stern drop an n-bomb or say anything like "nappy-headed ho". He'll make disparaging remarks in general to a woman, but I've never heard him make a racial comment and is usually the first to speak up if someone else does. Say what you want about Stern, but he's very smart about what HE says. He lets others in his group or callers make the offensive statements, then is always the first to play them down.

BTW, war Sirius where people only get fired if they suck.

And hell, if they don't fire or suspend Bubba when he was putting dog shock collars on porn star snizz and zapping the shit out of them, they ain't doing shit to NOBODY! I can only take his show in doses though. That dude is even more ADD than Scott Ferrall.

Easily one of my favorite bits that Stern did. He actually does the Kingfish voice quite and then he switches to the lisping, whiny jew voice for Spielberg. Offensive, tasteless but it made me laugh each time I heard it.

Stern has done TONS of jokes about black people. If you ever saw his old WWOR channel 9 show out of NJ, he did a bit as Jesse Jackson and he and Fred dressed up as Milli Vanili. He's played a song called "N...gger Claus" during the holidays, has done Crown Heights Jeopardy where he parodies blacks and Jews, and Stern used to have Daniel Carver review movies with burning crosses. (When Howard had him review Booty Call and Malcolm X I about lost it. That shit was funny.) The fact that he has on Robin doesn't deter him from race humor. She laughs at it just like he does.

Howard's show is patently more offensive than Imus' (the bit where he played a Selina song with gunfire in the background comes to mind.) but he picks and chooses who he makes fun of. He has ALSO made jokes about black people's hair but Imus said what did the day after the game and singled out particular persons.

Timing is the issue.

Nothing new, but the behavior of 'Reverends' Sharpton and Jackson is so far beyond farcical that it defies description.
If these jag offs are such top drawer Reverends then why aren't they ever, as Jesus instructed, feeding His lambs .... ?

Feed my lambs.

Find the believers.
Continually give the Word to the believers.
Give the message.
Strengthen them.
Nourish them.
Raise them up.

Do these twats even pastor churches .... ?
I never hear about it.
All I keep hearing is that they are some kind of ..... Reverends.
Bullsheet.
Jerry Falwell is a jag off too, but at least white boy actually DOES feed the lambs .... or tries to .... supposedly.
..... at a church he legitimately Pastors.

Feed the black lambs by running all over the country/world screaming racism at every opportunity.
And in between, spend long weekends in Heimy town, livin' large and sheeot.

Go fuck yourselves, Revrerends.

Frauds.
