False. If your company is looking like a soup sandwich, you
will derive tangible improvements from focusing on your processes. Obviously there is something you aren't doing right or you wouldn't be so fucked up.
True, but some are so fucked up that they don't know how to properly implement process improvements. They'll do
something that probably won't work, then bury the true results (i.e., nothing) under a pile of crunched numbers that don't tell the story.
Of course you shouldn't need the latest buzzword beat off to tell you that. What you need are new managers.
New managers won't be much help if they continue to manage what they inherit. If they effectively implement beneficial process changes, it's a good move. But the managers they replaced could've probably done the same thing in many cases.
Btw, lean and six sigma are all the rage in DoD, at least in my little corner of it. I think they suck donkey balls.

Replies like that are completely FUCKING RETARDED. I've built and rebuilt more fucking cars than you could even comprehend, Coods. Hell, the very fact that you use the term "Cuda" as your screen name desecrates one of the BADDEST and most celebrated musclecars of that era of pure unbridled horsepower in the late 60s/early 70s. There you go: drive an American car with 30-50K on it in your price range.
Then drive a similarly priced and driven Japanese car. That should make up your mind in about two seconds.
That MIGHT have been true.....about TWENTY FIVE MOTHERFUCKING YEARS AGO.
I'd put ANY GM/Ford/Chrysler car/truck built in this country up against ANY foonge-face made car/truck used and abused under the same conditions and not only would it last just as long, but if/when it DID break down it would be FAR cheaper to repair. This simply cannot be refuted by anybody, PERIOD.

25 years ago jap cars were better. 25 months ago, they were better.
The domestic brands have closed the gap....some. But it still exists.
You did finish off with 1 true statement. Jap car parts tend to be more expensive. probably has to due with the fact that you don't have to replace as many.
I really wish american cars were better, as I am sure most on this board do. But wishing ain't gonna make it so.
Lets hope this new malibu lives up to the hype. I think it might. When they're backs are to the wall, americans generally do step up. And the US auto industry is so fukking tight up against that wall, it's gonna be on the other side of it soon.

Post total smack is ghey, unless the poster in question has:

3. Never seems to shut the fuck up

if you don't care about used malibus, then why bother responding to a post about used malibus in a thread asking about used cars? you're coming off like someone who goes to a jazz festival and starts telling people how good "high school musical" was. sure, they're remotely related to each other in that they're both music but nobody's there to hear anybody talk about it, especially you.

I think it has more to do with making the best of the situation. I'm not exactly a Stewart fan. But knowing that if he wins the Championship next year driving a Toyota, that it will piss off every inbred sporting a Calvin pissing on a #24 sticker on their car makes it a whole lot more bearable.
