'05 was the last year of the 11-game regular season. Back then, the Pac-10 played eight conference games, which by definition meant that each team missed one conference opponent each year.
You never missed your designated rival (i.e., Arizona-Arizona State; Cal-Stanford; Oregon-Oregon State; UCLA-USC; Washington-Washington State) so the game you missed rotated among the remaining eight teams. You'd miss the other eight teams each once every eight years, IIRC.

Guilty as charged. Somehow, I thought the Pac had been playing the nine game conference schedule for longer than that.

Anyway, back on topic, here are Lendale White's thoughts on the matter:
Titans running back LenDale White explained on SportingNews Radio why USC shouldn't lose its national championship if Reggie Bush and others are found to have accepted improper benefits a few years ago: “I don't think if you got money, a flat-screen TV, or however it looks that (those things) will make you go out and play better or beat somebody. I don't think so. We get paid in the NFL, and the Lions went 0-16.”

No, LenDale in no way "basically admitted" to anything. That's beyond a stretch, even for you. He did however sound like a moron. He needs to just STFU and concentrate on doing what it takes to remain productive in the NFL.

Between his somewhat out of shape looking body and his stupid running off at the mouth, ja, I'd say he's got more than enough on his plate with simply working on his own career.
He's obviously not the most media savvy knife in the drawer, so he probably should just STFU.

Lendale is a great sound bite guy and always has been. I appreciate that he is extremely sarcastic and says a lot of things just to push buttons, unfortunately there are too many cum dumpsters out there that dont understand sarcasm and take everything said to heart.
