I'm not sure I can take the pressure much longer.

Are we still playing?

I think the word you were looking for is "from."

No, "than" is the word I wanted there.

"Steve is different than Fred."

"Steve is different from Fred."

"Than" is correct.

I already got shitcanned though, so it's a moot point. Also, no, we don't seem to be playing anymore. Everybody got booted.

"Different than" is NEVER correct.

Your thoughts, Rozy?

"Black is different than white" seems to be a universally accepted usage/phrase, so if it's incorrect then I'm unaware of it and I stand corrected.

"Black is different from white" sure sounds very awkward, and nobody seems to phrase it that way.

According to the American Heritage Dictionary’s usage panel (1992), different than is acceptable only if the words following different than make up a clause—especially if the clause is elliptical (referring to an aforementioned context without restating it). Here’s an example:

Ex.: It seems so different than Paris.
That's exactly how I used it, in the original quote...
Little bit different than forced labor.
~after further review, the ruling on the field stands~

Link to where I've been booted? Or was I ever playing?

Oh, you were playing. Don't think for a moment that you weren't. We all had our eye on you.

Pretty sure you got booted, though I can't recall the post, or the booter. If not, oh yes, we're still playing, and now I'm gonna git ya'.

I nailed Terry, and he hardly posts either, so I'll get you too.

Or, I won't. I'm not quite sure.

It's just that I never paid my entrance fee, so I was wondering.
We all had our eye on you.
Not in a gay way, I hope.

I seem to recall Mikey getting eliminated, but I'm not certain about it. Call it 90% certain.

I know for a fact TiC got eliminated, because I'm the one who did it.

So...it looks like the only folks not ELIMINATED are Mikey, mcet, Degenerate, 88, and Screw_Michigan. Props to you all...I suggest you lure one another out and try to elicit mistakes.

Fuck that! Mikey eliminated himself in this very thread and on this very page.

Moving Sale quoted Mikey's improper use of the word "hear" and Mikey also fucked up "nobody's" as well.

Funny thing is, reading the website of the local newspaper... the "professional writers" in their employ wouldn't have lasted any longer than anyone else here.
