Different day, same result - Jsc_reprobate having his ass handed him by 88.

Long winded way to go about it but effective nonetheless.

I find a simple, ongoing "Go Fuck Yourself" an adequate response.

We can only guess what Jesus would do, but based on what He did wth the whore at the well who was about to be stoned, he'd tell the homos " Go, and sin no more"

I've always found the the "What would Jesus do?" thing sadly amusing.

What did Jesus do?
What is Jesus doing?

Make sense.

Funny. As a person who spends his life absorbed in his teachings I thought you'd take it serious.

I distinctly remember poptart typing "you're a joke here" when referring to you a few days ago.

why would he take you serious?

like, do people elsewhere take you all serious and stuff?

You call yourself Bizzarofelice and want to be taken seriously?

You're a joke here, dude.

Hi Van.

Jsc entered... "what Scripture says," into this discussion.

I'm responding to that same Scripture.

The "The Bible isn't accurate" discussion would be an entirely different one.

Jsc wrote:Luke 9:27
As always, you need to look at the context to understand the Scripture, Jsc.
At first glance, yeah, a person could take this --ONE LINE-- of Scripture to mean something that it doesn't mean.

Read on from Luke 9:27, beginning right at 9:28 and continuing to 9:36.

Jesus took (8 days later) Peter, John, and James (those who would not taste death until they saw the Kingdom of God) up to a mountain ---> where the transfiguration incident took place.
There, those three people witnessed the Kingdom of God and they witnessed the stark reality that it must be ---> ONLY Jesus Christ.

Hey, Pop.

Anyway, no, Jsc didn't originally mention the Scriptures. He merely posted...
Jsc wrote:He supposedly said that he would return within the lifetimes of those living at the time he did.
You followed that up with, "No, He didn't say that."

Jsc qualified his comment with the use of "supposedly." You? It was as if you were passing on a firsthand recollection of dude's conversations!

You didn't know? Pops WAS there. In fact,

He was 'round when Jesus Christ
Had his moment of doubt and pain
Made damn sure that Pilate
Washed his hands and sealed his fate

He stuck around St. Petersburg
When he saw it was a time for a change
Killed the Czar and his ministers
Anastasia screamed in vain

He rode a tank
Held a general's rank
When the Blitzkrieg raged
And the bodies stank

woo who

You may already know this, but Mick Jagger wrote Angie about David Bowie's ex-wife Angela. She and Mick were having an affair and Mick decided it was time to break it off so as not to hurt Bowie, his good friend and rumored lover.

Gimme Shelter is one of the few Stones songs that doesn't make me want to throw on some MGMT and jump around and do the Screwey... a dance that involes caucasian males making a mopping action almost-to-the-beat, then holding their pasty arm over their head for at least several seconds.

What I was sayi', was that the Stones have a slightly higher level of talent than MGMT.

Stones delve about as deeply into music theory as AC/DC, but without all the energy. Same 3 chord stuff.

so fukking what. music doesn't need to be complex to be good, just as complex music sometimes sucks horribly.

too bad everything they've written in the last 30 years is teh suck as well as simple.
