I love all you left wing dem pigs, you LOVE unions? How bout them teachers' unions? real nice, Could they be the reason why education in this country sucks ass? Why our children are dumber than cockaroaches? In other words, you cant fire a union teacher, even if her class is completely stupid.
The union protects them from being fired? WOW!! thats real progressive.

Why dont we just do this with every profession? Doctors who suck and molest their patients? CANT FIRE EM. Union rules. Police officers who suck at their job, spend the entire day eating donuts, instead of working their beat? CANT fire em, union rules.

Why is it, that if you suck at your job, whatever it is, you get fired? Except for union teachers?
And you wonder why government schools suck ass. What? are teachers the golden calf?

Unions have been bankrupting our governments for years now, with their lofty pensions and benefits, the taxpayer is getting dry fucked in the ass.

Union thugs should be shot, and buried in the nevada sand, just like joe pesci and his brother at the end of "casino".

hold on there sparky, although I did atttend a govt. school K thru 3rd grade, I was then switched to a wonderful private christian school wholely owned by the southern baptist convention. SO, I turned out a lot better for it, IMHO.

In the christian schools, we actually learn, instead of being fed propoganda, with hidden MARXISM.

All those folks, most of whom are 20 something college grads, are looking for is an equal opportunity to pursue the American Dream in the same way as their parents. All they want is a job and a chance to succeed.

I understand it perfectly well. You don't. The reason is that you are a fucking idiot who fills his head with shit from mindless dipshits like Keith Olbermann rather than attempting to think for yourself.

Those with at least slightly more than half a brain understand that OWS is a grab bag of every leftist kook, wingnut and whackjob out there. They are anti-Wall St., anti-capitalist, anti-affordable energy, anti-business, anti-rich (though many of them are or are supported by them) and anti-personal hygiene.

They, like you, are completely incoherent and have no consistent message or purpose. It helps to listen to the actual protestors themselves rather than what talking fuckheads have to say about them.

SO do they have GPA above 3.5?
Do they know a second language?
Is their degree in something that can transfer to usable skills?

If it's a yes on all 3 I'll guarantee they can find a job right now.

It the GPA was a 2. something.
They type only in text speak and are setting on a liberal arts degree, Starbucks is always looking for more baristas
Maybe if corporations weren't sitting on their profits, or giving multimillion dollar bonuses to CEOs, there would be jobs for all of these folks. They're tired of seeing one percent of the population controlling this country, and all of the greed and corruption that goes along with it, and it's refreshing to see some young educated Americans standing up and saying they're not going to take it anymore.

The Working Families Party (WFP) (http://www.workingfamiliesparty.org) is New York's most energetic, independent and progressive political party. Formed in 1998 by a grassroots coalition of community organizations, neighborhood activists, and labor unions, we came together to build a society that works for all of us, not just Wall Street CEOs and the well-connected. WFP is independent from corporate and government funding and in-addition we are community based; community funded and equally uninfluenced by both major parties. Our agenda focuses on economic and social justice, corporate accountability, job creation, environmental protection, and investment in education and healthcare.

For the past twelve years the WFP has been at the fore front of progressive politics,

Leading the fight and helping to frame the debate. The WFP has a proud record of fighting for issues that matter and has been instrumental in implementing key pieces of legislation such as Raising New York's Minimum Wage, Enacting Living Wage Laws, Creating Thousands of Jobs In the Green Economy, Passing Healthcare Reforms on the Local Level, Fighting for Affordable Housing, Keeping Tuition Costs Low, A Progressive Tax Code, Reliable/Cost Effective Public Transit System, Public Financing Of Elections and Corporate Accountability . In addition, we have an unapologetic stance on supporting and pushing good candidates to enact progressive legislation

The WFP is seeking immediate hires.

You must be an energetic communicator, with a passion for social and economic justice.
Only outgoing, articulate dedicated, determined candidates will be considered for the positions.

For those candidates that qualify WFP offers substantial paid-training provided by senior leadership, on varied issues such as: advocacy, public speaking, mobilizing, fundraising, networking and organizing. We invest in passionate people with excellent communication skills and a full benefits package is offered to those candidates that qualify. In addition, there is opportunity for advancement and travel to our satellite chapters and out of state affiliates.

This is not a policy job! Through direct action you will be shaping NY state politics for the next 20 years. If you care about New York and want to help educate and mobilize around legislative campaigns-then we look forward to hearing from you!

History isn't finished quite yet, if you're a Marxist, you're just sitting back and feeling smug.

I must have have missed the utopia part, is that Marxism? The absence of alternatives is a fact in itself, disenchantment in a vacuum speaks to an absence of thought - people in much worse social situations have always been able to organise themselves with very clear objectives and ideals. Not so much now?

my daughter started doing the ear gauges thing, but, in the last year or so, seems to have come to the realization that it makes you look like an absolute fuktard. Fortunately, she didn't get to a size where there are permanent big fukking holes in her ears.

as for the banks sitting on their profits, it is the last thing they want to do with them. sitting on profits does not grow them, but when the alternative is to risk that profit with little chance of a good return, it might be the best option. this is the part that libtard fukkhead does not get. the rich will sit on their profits or stick them in muni bonds if that makes more sense.

Yea, that's the problem. The banks who crashed this economy with their grossly irresponsible speculation, got rewarded for the speculation with huge government bailouts and record post crash profits are now just too "risk averse" to pump money into the economy. :meds:
