I was standing near where the camera was filming when that went down. Recordings don't do justice to how fucking loud flashbangs are when fired off between big buildings.

Later in the video, the camera cuts over to an idiot getting arrested. That's me in the red tee shirt (go Blazers) at about the 0:51 mark. I hope no one mistook me for a white supremicist while wearing my Tiger Woods hat (we have the same initials).

Shit got crazy pretty quickly if you were on the wrong side of Naito, and didn't clear the street like the cops had been telling them for at least 5 minutes. But all in all, a pretty lackluster riot -- we've had better.

So, for anyone to say you are asked for ID at the grocery store, is not unusual. It is especially unusual for someone who probably hasn't actual gone to a grocery store in the last 40 years.

Buying smokes, alcohol. Most chain grocery stores have a card everyone alcohol policy. I have watched 80 year olds get carded.

Driving a car, flying on a plane. picking up prescriptions, using a credit card, if the merchant is doing their fukking job. And there are plenty more.

There is one last point that hasn't been mentioned.

Just how many eligible voters are there out there that don't already have some form of photo ID? I suspect it is a pretty damn small number.
