It sucks that they had to shut down the course. Playing there was like a nature walk, with old sycamores, coast live oaks and other native flora.
Plus regular sightings of all these guys.







It was always a reasonable cost to play there but, if it had to go away, I'm glad the new owners stepped up and bought it for a winery. There apparently were plans to put a bunch of new homes in there. We'll wait and see how the winery turns out.

They also closed the San Luis Rey Down course a couple of years ago. That was another nice place to play. Apparently most of that will eventually end up being part of the San Luis Rey River Park.

Those actions would be illegal in the State of Nebraska. You need county sheriffs to evict people so good luck finding one to cooperate. Of course Nebraskans are, by and large, sensible people and things are calm here.

Kierland has stated that it's retarded that corporations can receive bailouts, but not all citizens. That's part of my point, Lefty. Individual citizens regardless of income should receive a base payment; but a COLA should be attached dependent on region of country. $1000 in Iowa will pay for three months rent. $1000 in New York City rents a closet inside a closet for two weeks. On top of the COLA, give a regressive payment, dependent on income: make 250,000, you still get something, but not as much as someone making 25000.

Flat taxes are retarded. So are flat payments for UBI purposes. But whatever. If the slave state could be returned to officially they'd do it. Works for China.
