Went to sleep about 2 hours ago, just woke up with cruel pain. How can a mere muscle cramp hurt so damn much? If this hasn't significantly improved by the morning, then I'm going to see doc after my meeting. I don't remember a crick in my neck hurting so much or lasting this long.

Played goalie for TCU, 3x all conference, 3x captain.
Did you make all-conference? I thought it was just Pat, Joe, Gary and Billy.

It wasn't really a photo op meeting. But it went quite well, and since I was with my boss, that made it especially nice.

Rub some dirt on it.
Call me when you've had discectomy and a cage put in from C4 - C7.

Yes, I have a cage and a bunch of other stuff from 3 major surgeries. The cage, two plates bolted together thru my tailbone, two rods, and screws in every vertebrae from tailbone to the level of my sternum. Not sure that is more or less than what you have, but in any event, this is not a contest that I'm especially happy to win.

I have two hips made from cobalt/chromuim/mloybdenum. Does that get me anything (besides a blood test for metal ions every five years)?

In the 1970's, the "six million dollar man" gave us hope for a future of unlimited possibilities. The bionic woman too.
Yet strangely, that science fiction seems as far-fetched as "star trek" and "star wars", while "terminator" seems highly plausible.
There's some witchcraft brewing on these boards.
Incidentally, whatever happened to 1B. I enjoyed her banter through the years.

Saw an Hebert's Specialty Meats store this morning, had to stop. Sure enough they had boudin balls, one regular and one with pepper jack cheese. Both really good but the pepper jack is better.
And of course had to get a box of boudin for my coworkers

My first cousin's husband got the phone call tonight that he's been waiting on for years. A matching kidney is available to transplant.
He got the call about 9:00pm, and it took them about 2.5 hours to drive to the hospital. Soon as he arrived they started preop work, and he may be in the OR within an hour.
I'm mindful that someone passed away this evening, and their family is dealing with the grief of loss right now. Either the person gave a donation declaration previously, or their family did so today. That has to be so difficult, and it is so appreciated. If you have not signed up to be an organ donor upon your death, please do so. That will make things much easier on your family, and is a life saver for the patient(s) who receive your organs.

Most raw sushi / sashimi in the US is frozen to at least-4 deg F to kill any potential parasites. Pretty sure it’s an FDA requirement.

The Centre for Disease Control and Prevention is busy looking for things to do after saving the world from Covid.
Concerned for rabies, all dogs entering the US from Canada must have their own passport. Including microchips in the dog, appropriate paperwork, photos of the dog so his identity can't be stolen and identity assumed.

So we’re stricter on dogs entering the U.S. than we are on people?
We are so fucked.
At least until Jan 20
And, as far as American hostages being released?
We won't have to wait until Jan 20. Like Reagan in 1980, they'll be released as soon as he's "President-elect"

Strange, yeah? That's just a bureaucracy running amok, It's bloated and overstaffed and they need something to do to justify their existence. I thought the Minister did well, he conveyed his doubts without saying 'are you f*cking retarded'?
The tonnage coming across that frontier on a daily basis is mind boggling.
Aside from that, security and illegals and Western New Yorkers ramming customs sheds in luxury cars, they now have to deal with Rover possibly posing as Spot, coming from a rabies-free country.
