Nah.
Apparently Callahan called his mom a fucking hillbilly.
Quit possible. However he is from San Antonio. I'd think even Callahan would realize that ain't in Oklahoma. But you never know.
Tell me, any truth to the rumor Stoops promised he'd start out at RB?
That's the play we're getting as to why he switched.
His coach said he wanted to be close to home. The 'ol "I can't indulge the real reason he switched routine."
Hell, he could have went to TCU or Texas Tech if that was the case.
Yeah, like Norman is just up the road from San Antonio.

Chris Little to UGA.

Little is a shock to me. Wow, these kids are hard to read.
I'm still waiting on Austin's Press Conf. What sucks is that he had his Press Conf set up for Noon today and he let Rivals follow him around all day. Rumor has it, Farrell leaked the info. Slimy bastard.
I wish Austin luck. Hope he likes double teams and never winning anything.

Oh crap, that's right.....it's signing day.
I'm sure our class sucks balls as always although I can't say for sure as I really don't know much about many of the verbals. There is one 4-star LB we got (Tyler Nielsen) who is very highly overrated. I've seen him play and he looks more like a 2-star recruit to me than a 4-star. The guy I'm most excited about is Jordan Bernstine, a 4-star safety from Des Moines. I've followed his career a lot and he's going to be a star. I think he should be a 5-star. He's that good. Great athleticism, decent size, excellent speed, and he's a great tackler. Can also play running back if needed. We need secondary help and he'll get PT early on in his career. From people I've talked to, Bryan Bulaga (OL) is the real deal. Kid from Illinois. Will be excited to see him play. Christian Ballard (TE) and Marvin McNutt (QB) are the other recruits I've heard good things about. Other than that, I'm not real sure about the others. We're getting closer and closer to landing the top-notch players, but I think this past year really set us back because of our 6-7 record. Still, slowly but surely, more and more 4 and 5 star recruits are considering Iowa, which makes me feel confident that soon we'll start landing more of them. I think next year is an important year for this program and it's a year with our schedule we can get back to a BCS bowl and contend for a Big-10 title. That should help recruiting for the 2008 and 2009 classes.

UNC has a nice looking class. Good thing we play them early in the season off a bye week at home. Butch is going to turn them around rather quickly I think.

Yeah, Wisconsin's gotten quite a few recruits the last couple of years away from Iowa. Maybe those recruits are just excited to go play for a program that's won 6 of the last 26 times against Iowa.

FSU's class has climbed into the Top25 after today's showing and they aren't done yet. We have gotten tons of speed in this class and signed 6 OL.
We are fine.
Austin going to UNC is due to him getting to play right away and also UNC's Broadcasting school is arguably the best in the Nation. It's something he was weighing in his decision.

Or maybe you're a clueless douche bag????? They go by who signed and the number of stars. How does Dot affect that? Doesnt UF have a Rivals site w/ people who work for them?
Get a clue dude.

McKnight is a Trojan. That puts us No. 2 with only 18 guys. Florida No. 1 with 25. Highest average star rating...30bps ahead of Florida.

Well, we just snagged Owusu from UNC this morning, and fUCLA's 4* saftey Chris Conte is now a Bear.
Actually, we've signed 23 of our 25 recruits with the last two sending theirs during a school ceremony with their coach, from Hawaii later today when the sun comes up there. All done by 10:00 am in the morning, not bad!
Even, $C is signing our rejects... oh how times have changed!

Christian Tupou...
He came for a visit expecting for Tedford to give him an offer, and when Tedford, staff, and players had a chance to meet him, they wanted nothing to do with him due to his
Character!
It proved out to be the right decison after further review... when Tupou went to all the papers in Northern California and said, and I quote... "Cal did me dirty".
He had been telling everyone he wanted to go to Cal... and when he wasn't offered by Tedford, he showed his true colors!
As you well know... character is never an issue with $C. So when they found out that a 4* player wasn't going to Cal, they jumped on it the next day and made an offer.
Plain and simple... Tedford wants character guys.
edit: The class is full at 25!
We're done!

Yeah, or maybe they wanted to go to a Big 10 school that’s won at least one Rose Bowl since Eisenhower left office.

Sam,
I was just baiting you into a flame war! Come on, that was pretty obvious. Seriously, though, if I weren't from either Alabama or Iowa and was a top recruit, I wouldn't go to either school. I'd go to USC and get paid to live in Southern California or maybe go to Florida and enjoy the Sun N Fun. My 3rd choice would probably be Texas. I can guarantee you Tuscaloosa doesn't have anything Iowa City doesn't. But then again, neither does Lincoln, and they usually get pretty good recruiting classes (although I'm not sure why anyone in their right minds would wanna go there).

Yes we are. Supposedly, him and Deonte Thompson are announcing together. Rumor though is that Thompson's mom was ill and he did not attend school today.
We've been actively recruiting Jackson b/c we weren't sure that Greenlee would switch his commitment.

Give it up for Bobby and his new coaches. To climb from 41st to inside the top 25 with time to go is simply amazing.
TREX - I know our class isn't as good as UF's, but to say our class is bad, or not something to be proud of is crazy. And to make a generalization that it is one of the worst in 30 season is just ignorant.
Congrats to Bobby and the staff, I truly never thought they would break top 25.

If Bowden is smart, he will self report that to the NCAA if it's true that Deion called Devine and not the other way around. Deion is a graduate of the university and therefor a representative of the university and can be classified as a booster.

I don't think he legally became his guardian. Not sure of the booster relationship because he didn't graduate, but it would be smart for Bobby to look into it.

Rumor is that Deonte committed to UF. Son of a bitch. Markish Jones, a 4 Star from SC committed to us today and I was afraid that would play a role in his decision.

Deonte is going to UF. Can't believe it. I wonder whose schollies they are going to have to pull or persuade to greyshirt.
I thought once Paul committed, he would be able to reign in his boy Deonte.
We did get his teammate Jackson though. Very strong Oline class this year.

I doubt Jones had anything to do with Thompson's commitment Cicero....did you watch any of our games last fall???? Newsflash...I wouldn't go to FSU either at that shamble of an offense.
We will get 5 star receivers when we have a 5 star offense.

Deonte's a 4 Star. BTW, did you see the coaching staff we signed? Do you really think we wont improve??
I do believe Jones signing played a factor. W/ UF losing Bert Reed to us and not getting Tolliver, they actually had room for one more.
