Please see below as the calls for government to intervene in the “drought” are starting. Of course the use of corn in ethanol production is a BIG hot button issue. Early on it was thought the corn crop would be in the 13 billion bushel area . . . . now the number is thought to be in the 11 billion bushel area. You can see below what percentage of the corn crop, then, is used in ethanol production. All prices subject to confirmation as the market is not yet closed for the morning session.
“This morning's ethanol production report and the fact that a US Senator intends to introduce legislation to waive the Renewable Fuel Standard when corn inventories fall to certain levels offered slight resistance. Ethanol production for the week ending July 20th averaged 796,000 barrels per day. This was down 8.9% from last year. Corn used in last week's production is estimated at 84.79 million bushels which is down from 85.430 million bushels last week. This crop year's cumulative corn used for ethanol production is 4.44 billion bushels vs. the USDA's current crop year estimate of 5.05 billion bushels”

It's fucking hot here.
Although it's cooled to a lovely 92 now that the sun is starting to mellow.
I'm getting so much sun, it's altering my ethnic background.

I mentioned "it's a dry heat" -- and it hasn't cracked triple digits yet in this stay.
You wanna know "
real heat"? Work 10 hour shifts outside here... pussy.
Another couple days in the baking sun, and I'll stop adressing you as "pussy," and switch to "yo, G."

My oven has a "dry heat," and I don't curl up in there on my vacation days.

I've worked 10-hour shifts in "real heat", jackleg. Sometimes those shifts stretched to 12-14 hours.
Not deriding the effort, Dins. Just don't try to tell me what's hot. Pussy.

I'm back in Portland, and through my extreme generosity, I decided to bring the Southern Oregon weather back with me.
100 today.
But I suppose since it's hotter somewhere else, Trulogic dictates it's not "real heat."

It's only about 96 here today. Looks like it might rain too. I think I'll just fucking move to Chicago.

Suppose to push 100 here again today. Been pretty blazing most of the last week or so.
I've been in plenty of hot weather of late (and a little bit of mid-60's at the coast), so I'm used to it -- high temps just keep the pussies off the golf course, more room for me to hit the wrong fairway.
